    We have a winner.

I must admit that Marquez is better than anyone Tszyu ever fought. Excluding Chavez who was way past his best when they fought.

Between all the fights over the years and all the Champs beaten by Aussie boxers.

I will state this fight is as big as it gets.

And probably the biggest and best opponent a Aussie fighter has fought since

    Rose v Harada

So if Katsidis wins this for me it will be one of the greatest wins by a Aussie of all time.

Its an interesting thought. Australians have fought some great fighters near the top of their game throughout history though. Three of the greatest world champions in their respective weight classes reigned in the 1970s and three Aussies challeneged them (Hector Thompson challenged Duran, Tony Mundine challenged Monzon and Paul Fererri challenged Carlos Zarate). Archie Moore toured Australia during his prime and fought a number of top Australians including Ron Richards and Fred Henneberry. Lionel Rose dethroned Fighting Harada, one of the greatest Asian fighters of all-time. Glen Kelly and Shannan Taylor fought Shane MOsley and Roy Jones jnr at the time when they were both considered in the top three at the very least P4P.

I dont know if anyone else mentioned the massive win

Dave Sands had over Bobo Olson. That and the Rose win over Harada are probably the two biggest wins.

So if Rocky pulls this one off its up there with them for me.

Sands actually beat Olson twice- once in sydney - once in chicago. i'VE JUST BEEN reading about it in Ray Wheatley's new book - The GReatest Vol 2. Even though he beat Olson in America the crowd and all the reporters thought he was pretty ordinary and sugar ray robinson bagged him.

You can watch the fight here.
