My point is, you seem to disqualify Lewis and Tyson for the 15 round limit and there any chance of them ends. But Liston, Foreman et al aren't disqualified but only doubted. My guess is you have more against them than just not going 15 rounds as others of your favorites haven't either.

Well the poll seals the deal, over 50% have Lewis as top 5 material, a sensational result for the guy. Well deserved too i must add.

Nearly 80% saying Top Ten, that's good too because I do think a certain amount of 'wiggle room' in a debate is fair enough.

Any fighter in history can be talked up or talked down, but that's a good range to be in amongst the Classic members.

Though anyone in an All-Time Top 100 HWs list is a pretty damn special fighter, really...

This poll proves just how overrated Lewis is. He isn't even the best HW of his era, let alone top five of all time!!!

    Explain this to me please.

If Lewis's era is probably from 1992 to 2003, then who exactly would you say was better during that time? His record during the 90's was 29-1-1, and he avenged both the loss and draw. Tyson obviously doesn't count, as his record was maybe only 9-3 during the 90's, and avenged none of his defeats. Holyfield's record was 14-4-1 during the 90's, and he lost both the Bowe and Lewis series, while spliting his two meetings with Moorer. Foreman, Moorer, Bowe, Byrd and the Klitschkos don't make it either. Lewis probably beat more ranked opponents during the 90's than any other heavyweight as well.

You have some good points about Lewis being overrated for the reasons that you provided. My only problem with your list is having Liston at #3.

Evander Holyfield is the best of the era - clearly the heavyweight of the 90s. Took on all the top guys of the era when it mattered - not when they were fading - and didn't get taken out early by second-raters. :yep

Peak Holyfield was beaten in a trilogy by a non top 10 Heavyweight and there was nothing he could do about it, PEAK. At least Lewis came back to show he was the better man and never had a single fighter tower over him. :yep

Wouldn;t it be fair to say Holyfield had serious health problems by their third match? Ohterwise they go 1-1. Boew may not be a top 10 all time heavy, but he is stil prolly top 20 and no shame about that

Sorry DMT but you cannot close your eyes for this. Holyfield lost that fight and that's the end of it.

If you run that argument, then a Bowe supporter may say he was only in shape for the first fight, so actually it's 1-0 for Bowe. That stuff doesn't count.
The loss should count against Holyfield's consistency, something Zakman doesn't seem to see.
