I think he can reasonably and justifiably be placed in the top five

Agree. Bruno has the makings of a guy who could have had a slightly better record and maybe even gotten a belt fraction earlier. Had he beaten Smith ( and he was leading ) he might have ended up in the ring with Holmes, Tubbs or Page

He had some back luck at times did Frank.
If that have happened, then I see him losing to Larry, give him a good chance against Page and 50/50 for me against Tubbs.

I’d say around 5 or 6. Head to head maybe higher.

You've got to name me the people who are not Ali, Holmes or Louis that you put ahead of Lewis.

    I think that's where I had Lennox, I wouldn't have him higher .

To me there's no question that Lennox was a very great fighter, and he did indeed retire a champion (though I question the Vitali victory...to me it seemed Klitschko was winning before the cut).

I've wrestled many times with putting LL over Foreman at # 5...but in my mind there's no doubt the former is behind guys like Ali, Louis, and Holmes.

H2H I don't see him getting past prime versions of the last three mentioned; nor Foreman, Holy, Tyson, Frazier...not as sure about Wlad, but I could see Lewis losing to him, too. Liston might have stopped him... it's possible Rocky as well.

I feel the "Holyfield Bowe I" Riddick would pulverize Lewis in 5, but anytime after would have gotten either decisioned or stopped by Lennox.

He's a top five guy and extremely dangerous for all H2H .. still think a prime Tyson beats him ..

You question the stoppage or whether the stoppage should have caused Lewis to win? How do you prefer that to have played out whilst Vitali's face was sliding off his skull?

    Reasonable.

I've been accused of being a Wlad fanboy but no. And Frazier, no way. If he thought young Foreman was trouble, imagine a guy with better quicks and fundamentals who was also bigger and threw a wicked uppercut himself.

That's the sound of your credibility leaving the discussion.

That same Riddick chose to drop the belt in the trash if memory serves.

But how many fighters actually win titles especially heavyweight and go on to retire unbeaten.?
Just because fighter A, loses a fight then regains it, doesn't make him worse than a guy who remains unbeaten.
I could never in a thousand years say that JJ Jeffries, was a greater fighter than Ali or Lewis.

I've heard of the Ali Spinks fight being seen as a fix, so Ali could regain his title.
I don't actually belive a word of it tbh, but I can't see the Rahman Lewis series being a fix.
Both guys kod, I just don't see it.
