When Cotto beat Martinez, Martinez looked kind of shot. Got to remember though that before hand there was no guarantee a shot Martinez would show up. Martinez might just as well have been in really good shape. So it still was a dangerous fight for Cotto to take.

He´s a very good fighter, almost great, but a level below the Tito-Oscar-Mosley-Forrest-Quartey generation at 147. I would pick any of those names in their primes against the best version of Cotto at 147.

You re****, everyone said that floyd and pac fought a shot mosley version. But only joyboys like you claimed that cotto was shot during the pac fight but magically became unshot when floyd fought him after several years. Btw, pac and floyd fought mosley just a year apart.

To be fair to Pacquiao, he had'nt made his move to 135 lbs yet when fight 3 with Morales happened.

135 lbs would have made for a more competive fight, but I think ultimately instead of early, Morales would have wilted late in the fight.

130 lbs Morales was severely drained
135 lbs, still would have struggled making

140 lbs would have been his ideal weight, but the drawback is that at that time, he would have carried a little fat in the midsection at the weight.

Just a nightmare scenario for Morales in those times.
Outgrown the lightweight divisions, but framewise, not enough muscle to hang with the stronger fighters at 140 lbs who go into fights 10+ lbs over the 140 lbs limit.

    below average.

1.) He ducked GGG many times
2.) He is now ducking Canelo
3.) has had easy fights against Handicapped opponents such as: 1-legged Martinez, 1-eyed Margarito in a FIXED FIGHT, 1-legged Yuri Foreman.
4.) Cheated with low blows against Zab Judah, Ricardo Torres.

For the first decade of the 21st century he was very good. He wouldn't be top 10 of the decade, but would definitely be top 20. Now? His freshness date is expired. If Martinez weren't crippled, he'd have blasted Cotto out of there in a round or two.

It'll be tough to tell a long as he keeps avoiding decent healthy fighters.

We know he's not Elite because he failed massively with Pacquiao and Mayweather.

We know he's not Very Good because he lost to Trout.

Maybe he's Good? Rodriguez may have qualified as Good when he beat him. Martinez was so shot I feel like he could have lost to a 4rd fighter on that night.

    He's going into HOF haters

    Deservedly

Wins over mosely marg Martinez clottey

His win over Shane is more legit than Floyd or mannys

Mosley hasny lost since winky when he fought cotto
You could see the wear and tear when Floyd and manny feasted on shot Shane

A + against opponents with gammy knees.
