I've never encountered any other reports of jake being robbed of victory vs robinson other than ring mag detroit correspondent who covered the rubber match. None of the Detroit daily's felt that way so Ring Mag was alone in their opinion. Just for fun I'll ck jakes bronx home news this week to see if they sent nagler out.

No report of this fight appeared in Jakes Bronx "Home News" but the Pitt Courier Afro American weekly said Jake "agreed with the verdict" going to Ray. Again, this is the rubber match. You won't find any Greb vs Tunney smoking guns in this series and slender Ray proved over and over again vs this rip snorting 165lb monster of a middle that he always should be the first fighter you consider as the greatest who ever walked the face of the earth!

Sugars the man! I had both Fritzie Zivic and Beau Jack confirm with certainty Charlie Burley couldn't carry his bootlace!

I think it was the 5th fight that had some controversy about it, atleast it was very close. Robinson admitted it was the toughest fight he ever had with LaMotta, including the one he had lost.

    Scorecards:

    Johnny Behr 59-61 Robinson
    Arthur Oberg 63-57 LaMotta
    Frank Clark 59-61 Robinson

I would challenge any "controversy" as to Jake deserving either a victory or a draw in his series with the Sugarman.
