Another year has passed with more looks on fighters so where do you place then now . Do you place a fighter at all ( Povetkin and Browne peds /Fury inactive with at least another year out ) and no word even if hes assuming his career. Ranking them on difficulty to defeat at the moment .Did i miss anyone not active or busted ? 1/ Joshua 2/ Klitchko 3/ Wilder 4/ Haye 5 / Parker 6/ Ortiz 7/ Pulev 8/ Whyte 9/ Izu Ugonoh 10/ Breazeale 11 / Miller 12 / Chisora 13 /Granat 14 / Ruiz 15/ Stiverne 16/ Jennings 17/ Briggs 18/ Hughie Fury 19/ Spzilka 20/ Takam
Happy with the top 6, but think: Briggs is no way near the top 20, who has he fought recently? Takam is better than Szplika Breazeale too high, he's got heart and a very good chin but that's about it (Mansour was giving him fits) I don't rate H. Fury, but he's better than Briggs for sure. I like Ugonoh, but he needs to beat more credible opposition to get anywhere near top 10. Other fighters to consider: Gerold Washington. Glazkov. Christian Hammer is coming of a decent win in Teper, who isn't banned any more. Scott stunk up the joint last fight, but he's actually OK.
Extremely difficult right now because of Steroids, inactivity, semi retirements etc. I'm going to leave Fury Povetkin Martin and Browne among others off for those reasons, but include Wlad, whose inactivity wasn't really his fault. No champion. 1. Wlad. 2. Joshua 3. Wilder. 4. Parker 5. Ortiz 6. Pulev 7. Stiverne 8. Takam. 9. Jennings. 10 Hammer 11. Whyte 12. Haye 13 Chisora 14 Scott 15 Duhaupas 16. Ruiz 17 Thompson 18 Washington 19 Hughie 20 Mansour. Miller is absurdly unproven and Haye is unproven as a 36 year old, heavier, slower guy with major shoulder surgery on him.
Breazeale is better than Washington, hence why i said currently ,if you watched the Mansaur fight ,Breazeale is clealy out of shape compared to his Joshua fight and Mansaur was going nighty night soon, just look at the punches he was eating which resulted in the stoppage . Hammer is o.k but nothing stands out to me . Breazeale is a 6'7 olympian your brushing aside. Fury hasnt suggested to me yet he defeats a power puncher ,didnt Kassi give him fits? Briggs can punch and cut the ring off ,hes also Millers sparring partner who crushed Kassi . Izu would run over many guys probably even Parker if i didnt rank him high enough its only bc he hasnt got his hands on anyone YET that i ranked over him.
Gerald Washington is slightly better than Breazeale. He was beating Mansaur much easier and he actually got the bad end of the stick of the decision. Generous to Mansaur. They both are not adept at fighting fighters their own size, which is why they'd lose if they step up. It's too early to make a heavyweight list, the top 10 is fairly stable, then there's everybody else. Wilder should be #1 for being the most established champion. That would change if Wlad or AJ beats each other then they would get the top spot.
Wilder hasnt even fought a genuine top ten guy ....Stiverne shouldn't have even won his last fight to a guy scraping a 50 spot . I have Wilder at 3 just bc the other guys have limited experience but Haye in reality probably beats Wilder .
Stiverne was ranked top 5 when he was beat. 70% of the board was picking him over Wilder. Those are facts. You have AJ who has beaten nobody as #1, hypocrite much?
Stiverne was Don Kings puppet who waited in the shadows from 2005 to 2012 for Vitali to reliquish the belts ,hes a absolutely limited fighter not top 10 material NOW and in my book then. He was exposed his last fight ,Wilder wasnt even 220 when he fought Stiverne . I have Joshua who knocked a TOUGHER Molina out in 3 rnds while Molina rocked Wilders world and took him 7 . THOSE ARE FACTS ! And so is Wilder looking for HUGHIE FURY while Joshua has Wlad on his menu??? pffft . lol
Well that's your book, not mine. After the top 7 (with PEDetkin, Tyson Fury, Browne off the list), all the rest of those slots could be any of 30 fighters since they are all similar and would make for close fights against each other. Stiverne is more dangerous than most of those other fighters and actually can fight for 12 rounds unlike most of that top 20. Some of the guys you listed are unproven prospects or have taken bad losses. Also Wilder ko'd Molina in round 9 so I'd have to dispute your facts especially about which version of Molina was "tougher" which is just your opinion and one I'd disagree with. Besides Molina was just an opponent to knock out. Eddie Hearn is good at boxing politics. All that fight did was give AJ fanboys talking points for pointless triangle theory talk but did nothing for AJ's development. Now he has to fight Wlad so we'll see if they ****ed up on his development or not. Regardless AJ should not be #1 About Wilder's next opponent, should wait until his next opponent is announced then complain. Should just complain about his team insisting on another voluntary. If it was up to me I'd call Parker's bluff.
Briggs shouldnt be on your list at all.He hasnt beaten any good name within the last 200 years.Ugonoh nr.9? Granat nr.13? Kuzmin ,for example, has collected better scalps than the two aforementioned greenhorns. Takam deservers to be ranked higher than Sziplka ,Chisora or Whyte. At the moment I wouldnt rank Povetkin,Browne and Fury either.
Hes on my list for obvious reasons . The Haye fight fell through and he would have knocked out Browne cold . Takam gave a good fight to Povetkin so maybe ,either way my top 10 is solid ,my entire list is practical .
