I had him at 8, my list 1. Sergio Martinez 2. Felix Sturm 3. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr 4. Gennady Golovkin 5. Dmitry Pirog 6. Grzegorz Proksa 7. Matthew Macklin 8. Daniel Geale 9. Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam 10. Marco Antonio Rubio And then, Barker, Andy Lee etc
Martinez & Sturm are clearly ahead of Geale...after that from 3 thru to about 7 is solely based on opinion & many can be interchangeable. I cant believe people on here are claiming Sergio Martinez is overrated.atsch
What did Geales loss to Mundine, and wins over shot Karmazin and Sylvester (who then lost far more convincingly vs proksa) do to put him above anyone in my list? Fair enough to have a different oppinion, how about instead of baseless critisism you put up your alternative list
I agree. Most of the fighters in the top 10 at MW are prospects and relatively untested / haven't had many big fights, Geale seems to fall into that category aswell but has arguably better credentials. I had him at 4.
Kegsy thoughts on my list? Agreed 3-7 can change, but would you at this stage put geale ahead of any? Not saying he wont get above them with a good win.
I think its a pretty good list mate...maybe Chavez Jr. is a little high but i thought Chavez looked great today. I would have Macklin in the top 5 no doubt & probably Geale is around 5 like most said. Its purely opinion with most outside the top 2, as like most have said until some of the top 10 fight one another its tough to break alot of them up.
Yep, and we all know what opinions are like. :deal Speaking of opinions, I see Ippy voted for number 3, can you express your opinion a little?
Put this poll on the general forum and we'll see some interesting results............ Geale is a top 10 but anything after that is obviously subjective opinion until the up n comers start fighting each other.
