Where does all the floyd is scare of cotto come from?

I'm not a big fan of FLoyd's opponent selection recently but I do agree. Cotto never wanted any part of him.

 

Cotto has never wanted anything with Mayweather. I mean Im not going saying he doesnt have any nuts, but if he had JMM nuts this fight would've happened already. I guy 2 weight classes below calls out Mayweather, Cotto been at WW for 3 years and never said a word...

 

The fans demanded Floyd vs Cotto... but I agree, I don't think anyone is scared of Cotto, he's definitely worth the risk for the big names. Floyd didn't want to fight him, but in all honesty he didn't want to fight anyone, not even DLH for a second time.

 

Yea I agree...Cotto never calls out Floyd...At the same time I dont think Cotto calls out many fighters...He's the quiet type!

 

Cotto never calls out anyone he fights whoever Arum puts in front of him.

 

technically the only fighter Cotto has called out is Oscar, but who really hasn't called Oscar out? After the Mosley fight he said his choice of opponent would be Oscar even over Floyd, other than that Cotto really doesn't call fighters out, he just says he'll fight anyone. The only thing he's said about Floyd is that it's a fight the public knows will happen and that when it did that he'd be ready for it. This is a paraphrased quote from him a few years ago.

 

It's mostly the Boricuas who think like that. I mean jesus, why the **** would Floyd be scared of Cotto? puahahhahahh That's ludicrous.

Hype began when Cotto beat Zab in a much more impressive matter than Floyd did. After that it was perceived that Floyd will fight the winner of Mosley/Cotto after he settles grudge matters with Hatton. Cotto won gained a lot of momentum, Cotto/Floyd was "THE" fight to be made in the sport. Merchant kept asking Floyd what about Cotto, Floyd responds "I will retire from boxing and boxing will not retire me".

And thats how it is.

When Mayweather was active Cotto would say "I will only fight who my promoter wants", right when Mayweather announced his retirement he charged and said he wants to fight him. Of course people won't pay attention to that.

 

And if Arum never decides to puts him in there wth Floyd then what?

 

where do you get ur info that floyd has never wanted to fight anyone...it is a business...he def wanted cotto before and arum and cotto said no....cotto fights who arum wanrs him to fight..i respect cotto but i have to laugh at people who think PBF is afraid of other fighters....he has been fighting since he was 3 and he has lost about 30 rds in 39 fights

 

mosely seemed to be on his downside and if PBF beat him he would get no xcredit...margo is a cheater and he had no choice but to fight him...he does not have the options floyd has....he has to fight clottry because he lost to margo...he is not more courageous than PBF...if cotto could make 20 mil to fight hatton and ODH u bet ur ass he would

 

and this is after cotto said no thanks to floyd....then went on to get destroyed by margo,,,,that is how it is...PBF retired....now he is back...he did not retire so he wouldn't have to fight cotto
