So where does Khan's boogie-man go from here? I'll be following his career with a bit of interest. What is with these Colombians that can hit - Prescott, Torres... Anyway hope he's not a one-trick pony and gets matched up sensibly. But who'd fight him now?
You're right but you have to say it'll be interesting to see who he fights and how his career goes. For Khan's sake he'll be hoping the Colombian goes on to be a world champion ko'ing everyone who gets in his way. If he gets whupped in his next fight Khan'll be even more depressed.
i agree i will watch him closely becaus ehe is very acurate and quick with those bombs! which is what fans like so i reckon we have gota star in the making this victory will certainly do him good!
I suspect he'll get another big fight quickly, against a good fighter coming off a loss. He'll be near the top of some of the ABC rankings, which should work perfectly for him. People will watch video of his earlier fights and realize this was a fluke. Now that Alex Arthur lost, this might be a good comeback matchup for MAB to move him up the LW rankings quickly.
Usual "big-puncher from South America" career-path: now he's got his big win over a false prince, he'll lose to a genuine force in the division and get stuck on a downward spiral. That or he'll turn out to be a very good boxer; he doesn't seem to have footwork to speak of, but he seems to have a good defence, and obviously excellent power and combinations. A lot will depend on whether he keeps his head and whether or not he gets headhunted.
he looks pretty ****ing sensational. Great technique in keeping his defence whilst throwing bombs. He looked class on the pads before it too if thats anything to go by but ****ng hell even as a khan hater i didn't enjoy watching that.
why? because it's his first european fight against a ranked opponent? the guy can clearly hit and just because you never heard of him before the fight does not make it a 'fluke'. you can bet frank warren won't be gambling on this 'flukey fighter' with his charge again now, will he?
Because Khan was so ludicrously over-hyped i think Prescott will get more kudos than the win really deserves. It's a great win for him but it wasn't an upset at all for me, let alone "one of the biggest shocks in boxing history" like the morons on the TV were making it out as.
