I was really surprised, and very pleased to be fair, done a few quid on the wrong bet too, but that really was a shock last night.. how does it fair among other upsets for you lot ?

    I think Burns was 3/1, wasn't he?

So yeah a pretty big upset, but not approaching the Buster Douglas category.

It was a really good win against a decent World Champion who had made a couple of defences. Roman Martinez was rated two by the Ring and Number 1 by fightnews. Mzonke Fana is now the IBF champion, a fight between him and Burns would be for the Ring title. Martinez was beatable, but had a big punch to turn around fights. Honestly, last night was like watching one of your best friends in the Ring fighting. I bet a lot of fans and neutral supporters alike were shouting at the TV. I doubt Burns is truly the best World champion at the weight, but he has shown he can go the 12 rounds and is a great boxer, he is also resilient and large for the weight. His will to win, fitness, skill and durability saw him through tonight. The result seemed really fair, without a shadow of a doubt he won. He also came back from a flash knockdown. Apart from being a little ragged at times, the guy has a really decent chin too. Good luck to him. :good
Perhaps the title will be the making of him, or he could lose his next fight, either way, that was great last night.

About the same as Trinidad vs. Hopkins if you go by the odds. :nut
