Congrats to Floyd and he did what I thought he was gonna do - outclass Canelo. Not hating on Mayweather but we gotta keep it in perspective. Where does Canelo rank ATG 154? Was Canelo generally ranked top 10 Saturday 14th Sept 2013?

I expect Floyd wants this to be a win that looks great in hindsight, still expect Alvarez to go on to big things

Only it's not a good win in hindsight. It wasn't a 154 lb title fight. This win just made Floyd look bad because he barely eeked out a majority decision over a weight drained fighter.

somewhere behind both yory boy campas and raul marquez.

it will be a major accomplishment along with some excellent matchmaking on the part of gbp for canelo to end up with a better career than yory boy.

 No doubt as of today Canelo ranks nowhere. Time will tell but I don't expect his name to ever come up 20 years from now.

so in the next ten years you are expecting the short-legged 5'7" mexican to grow three inches and somehow obtain non-heriditary one punch power?

    oh.

    okay.

Yes eeked out. One judge had a draw. Floyd was running away and in full survival mode at the end of the fight. He never hurt Canelo, Canelo was just walking him down, and trying to get him on the ropes, and all Floyd could do was slip around and run away.

Canelo was like Tyson vs James Bonecrusher Smith, Floyd was like Smith who just ran away from Tyson all fight. Cuz he was too scared of being knocked out.
