Possibly - in the new spirit of the forum I apologise to the OP, could easily have been accidental. Back to the thread, it seems Brook's dad was in attendance last night so he's obviously scheming for something. You could imagine Eubank being talked out of the rematch in favour of a final payday with Brook, and that lets Smith have his Anfield fight against a live opponent.
An arrogant, out of touch man who had a huge helping hand, been given umpteen opportunities he wouldn’t have had if his second name been Smith funnily enough. Picked on smaller or shot men, never beat anybody but calls himself a world champ. Good riddance to the gimmick, only thing he’s done well is con many people for so long. if Eubank wants the Anfield money. Make him fight Callum to earn some respect. Mug. Where’s Safin by the way? You said his charisma would win him the fight then called me all sorts when I pulled you up and proved you wrong. I am not a told you so person but don’t speak to people like you do if you don’t want it thrown in your face. I had last laugh and your were wrong again haha. I might go to get drunk to celebrate because I’m a chav or whatever you say anybody who drinks alcohol is haha. Hope you’re sad.
It was the RJJ move IMO. He spent lockdown with him. He looked like a twink against Liam Williams. Probably silly, old fashioned floor calisthenics work instead of proper full body calisthenics or weights. Again, it's a case of RJJ expecting something he did to work for a guy with much more inferior genetics than he had. His dad had way better genetics than junior, but he spent a long period as an apprentice in good gyms before he settled for ronnie davies. It's ridiculous the approach they took with junior's career.
The 168 run and the few fights against domestic level guys who he smashed. He always was technically ****, but his ferocity and athleticism looked like they'd give problems to non-elite level boxers. Especially a smaller guy like Smith.
He should to cashout with Benn or another up and coming British middleweight like Hamzah Sheeraz, Felix Cash, etc.
Agree. That’s why I felt he had a good chance in the first half of the fight. I actually don’t think he’s deteriorated like people think. Smith is well above them people he was knocking out though.
You were right and most were wrong (including myself) Enjoy it and have a beer. I normally do when I get a pick right (rarely happens!)
Never thought he'd be getting knocked out by a smaller man, Smith is making a habit of stopping British enigmas, I'd love him to absolutely battered Benn next but at 160.
The drastic weight loss in the lead up to the Connor Benn fiasco must have affected Eubank. If he wants to carry on, he needs a good rest and the comeback at Super Middle where he may regain his strength. He also may want to think about who trains him.
