Where would you rank him on the ATG list?

    I have him around 25-30.

Most likely in the top 100. Arguments could be made that he is top 50. Arguments could also be made that he is not in the top 100. There is no valid argument that he is TBE, or even top 20. A fair assessment would rank him somewhere between 50-80.

That's how I view him. He's been so extraordinarily consistent through his career.

But he's never had that fight where I had to sit back and reflect after watching my TV.

I've never thought, wow, that was just incredible.

    Depends on your ranking system.

First you need to look at a lot of the atg list that are already out. How many of these fighters from the old school have you seen? How many do we even have video on? How strong was their era etc. I've seen a lot of footage of a lot of old school fighter and I wasn't impressed with all of them. Some seemed slow as hell but that could just be the video.

I simply rank Prime vs Primes at their absolute best. Resume considering their era and what they accomplished. Then you have the eye test as well.

At his absolute best Floyd has to be in the top 30 of most list. He is arguably the greatest at 130. I have him in the top 20.

Going off of eye test Roy Jones is the greatest to evet touch gloves but that's just me.

Go and study, watch as much film as you can find on these guys from the old school and you will see that Floyd ranks highet than most of them.

floyd doesn't rank all-time. His era is weak, he is a gutless cherry-picker who has been fighting all his opponents at the "right time" since he moved above lightweight. He did some good work at 130-135, other than that everything else is smoke and mirrors, an embarrassment to the sport of boxing.

How is his era weak? He came in at the middle of the great decade of the 90s. Came out the gate fast and was avoided by many. Mosley turned him down in his prime. Oscar turned him down in his prime as well. You say he carefully picked but so did everyone else. Mosley chose Oscar over Floyd and rightfully so. Not Floyd's fault that guys that he was willing to jump two weight classes for seen him as high risk low reward. Your post is ignorant and has no substance.
