Canelo and actually Diego had to move down to fight him, Hatton made to move up to welter where he had one fight looked horrible and dropped back down to jr then mayweather said no fight unless at welter. Jmm forced to moved up from 130 to 144 and mayweather didn't even make weight ???

Diego didn't move down to fight him. He put on hold moving up. He was set to move to 135, Diego himself said the only fight he would stay at 130 for is Floyd. Hatton came to challenge for Mayweather's title. JMM was not forced to do anything, except take 600,000 for Mayweather coming in 2 lbs over, even then he wasn't forced. Keep stretching though...

And mayweather challenged for Canelo right ? What did Canelo do. My point is mayweather has s history of fighting fighters past their peak , or not at their best weight- am I in accurate do we want to show. Mosley DLH and pacman age and recent records leading up to the fight ?

Can you find anyone that had a reach advantage in mayweather when they fought ? DLH had either same or 1/2 inch adv. that's it. I wonder why he never fought fighters like paul williams, ,Margo , Vernon Forrest etc

Mayweather would have had a reach advantage on PWill too, not that it would have mattered as PWill was not very good at keeping distance. Would have made Margarito look amateurish, and even if he did have reach advantage it wouldn't have mattered, as he also did not fight at range.

From my recollection, and i have looked many of time. I don't recall any fiighter's induction into the hall of fame, or any record book that showed: He fought so and so when he was in his prime, or at his peak weight.

Your missing the point . I don't rank him with fighters that risked it, no he did not have reach advantage on paul williams. Fighters like Leonard DLH eyc who faced great peak fighters at their proven weight

I'm not missing the point, you're not making a point that many others have not tried to make over and over. For the most part they are not all that true. Canelo fight was at 152, 2 lbs less than weightclass limit, and it was a weight that HE said he would do to get the fight. Floyd chased De La Hoya for years before he actually landed the fight, and every advantage was given to Oscar. Diego essentially chose to stay at 130 to fight floyd. Haton chose to come to 147, JMM chose to accept the 600k. And you're right, my bad PWill had reach Margarito was the one who was essentially equal. Still irrelevant as both fighters did not fight at long range so would have made any reach advantage null. You are missing something though the fact that Mayweather walked around approx 148-151 lbs. Which is the generally the walkaround weight for 140lb fighters. That means that nearluy every fight with the exception of Marquez and Pacquiao, Floyd came into the ring at a weight/ size disadvantage. Basically every fight at that weightclass was a test. He just proved his skill level was far superior. He didn't have ko's because of his brittle hands, but also because almost every fight at 147 and 154 he was functionally fighting guys 1-2 weightclasses higher.

The point I'm trying to make wpinkard. That peak/prime stuff doesn't hold the test of time. The records do. I mean do you look at SRL any less from hearing that possibly the only reason he beat Duran was because after their 1st fight word got back to Leonards camp that Duran was partying heavy and had ballooned to over 190 and was essentially the reason he forced his rematch only 5 months later.

    Fluid is rank #1
    above Lance Armstrong

On call TMT Amberlamps helped a lot for that emergency 750ml IV, especially for dehydration from severe chicken-nitis

Wylan911 your statements about Duran and mayweather show a lack of boxing iq.

First off my points are valid your just putting up a wall to understanding facts. Regardless of what Canelo said etc THE FACT is he was 154 pound weight champ not 152. Mayweather was moving to challenge him and take his title. The fight should be at the weight class established. If 2 pounds in boxing wasn't important then mayweather would not have made it part of the contract, if weight limits were not important then they would not exist . Finally mayweather himself indicated that catch weight makes fights invalid. Research what he said about pacman vs DLH. Plus DLH was not a natural 154 pounder Canelo was.

Mayweather would not have had the reach advantage on paul Williams. Again research. I agree about what we think he would have done to Margo, but point is mayweather didn't think it as he clearly ducked him at the time, before we knew he was cheating

Duran - yes it was only 5 month between fights. But so what. He is a professional he knows what was expected. He signed the contract knew the weight limit, only had 73 professional fights prior to that do he should know how to make weight.

One point your Duran theorist make is that the rematch was too soon. Hmmmmm interesting. Have you all went back in his career and saw that he never had ac5 month layoff between fights in the past 9 years.

Mayweather is a great fighter but he picked and choosed his way around the fighters at welter and catch weights etc. you can agree or disagree but you can't erase facts. At 147 and above he has not faced one great peak fighter at their weight class WHERE THEY EARNED THEIR GREATNESS OR A FIGHTER WITH A REACH ADVANTAGE
