Yeah, I know it's terrible, but females like it..........well most of the time.

I was at this club and the DJ played that song and two sets of girls started throwing rapid punches to eachother's faces.

Got pulled out with a quickness though.

No im sorry, a win over hatton at 147 is more legit than beating nelson at 135. Nelson did nothing at that weight, while hatton is bigger than him.

Why dont u list the amount of ranked contenders each beat?

By the time cotto retires, hes gonna end up with a better resume than your beloved mcgirt, god u overrated whitaker opponents to a ridiculous degree.

    Mayweather is top 90's

He doesn't really compare to guys like Toney, RJJ, SSM, Hopkins, hell even DLH...if we are talking prime for prime

    To break it down:

Toney for instance fought Nunn, Mccallum, Jirov, Holyfield, Ruiz, RJJ, etc... YES he lost, but his resume is filled with better fighters and he moved up from MW to win a belt at HW (though it was stripped due to juice).

RJJ's dominance speaks for itself as he was 49-1 until his first real loss and he won belts from MW to HW too.

SSM has a great resume with wins over a PRIME DLH (twice, which are bigger wins than anyone on Mayweather's resume), not to mention he jumped straight from 135 to 147 and beat DLH and fought all comers. Even though he lost to Forrest and Winky, and a controversial loss to Cotto, he still fought the best and continues to do so. Had he fought the guys on Mayweathers resume he would most likely still be undefeated. I can't imagine Mayweather jumping from 135 to 147 and beating a prime DLH, when he barely beat a faded DLH, nor can I see him beating a prime Forrest or Winky. Not sure if he would beat Cotto either.

Hopkins resume is much more impressive as well, from MW record defences to beating elite fighters in Trinidad, Tarver, Winky, DLH, etc...And if he beats Calzaghe in two weeks, he becomes leaps and bounds ahead of Mayweather.

Finally DLH....He won 6 belts in 6 weight classes, some wins controversial, some losses controversial, but he still looked to fight the best. His resume is littered with great fighters and had Mayweather fought the guys he fought, Mayweather would definitely have some losses.

Mayweather has cherry picked belts, fighting the path of least resistance similar to RJJ during his LHV reign, the difference being RJJ truly dominated everyone he fought from MW to LHV and beat great fighters in Toney, Hopkins, Hill, etc....

Of course people will flame this response, but Mayweather has avoided real fights like the plague, whereas guys like DLH, SSM, SRL, SRR, Hearns, etc.... always sought to fight the best. Hell, DLH fought an undefeated Trinidad, undefeated Mosley, moved up to fight Hopkins when he was p4p #1, and a faded DLH still gave a prime Mayweather problems.

And Hatton had proved what at 147 other than how vulnerable he was there?

The Nelson win is a greater win because size and strength had nothing to do with the way the fight was fought. Whitaker's simply outslicked him and it would have been the same no matter what weight the fight was fought at.

Whereas with Hatton-Mayweather, Hatton had already proved against Collazo how average he was at 147, and he wasn't even allowed to fight his normal fight because of Joe Cortez on top of everything else.

Oh and do I need to mention that Nelson is simply a much better fighter than Hatton, or was that already obvious?

I'd rather the more tricky task of analysing how good each fighter Floyd and Whitaker fought was, and not leave it to rankings to decide things. You can't just assess a fighter's worth by saying, he was a no.1 contender and so was he therefore the are of the same ability. When are you going to understand that point?

What next, are you going to tell me how Floyd has won titles in more weight divisions and therefore he is greater than Whitaker?

Maybe he will and maybe he won't. One thing I know, McGirt would have beat a 36 year old Shane Mosley MUCH easier than the way Cotto did.
