No i dont think he would, beating simon brown isnt going to tell me ****. Mcgirt is not a world beater, strop pretending he is.

So what if azumah is a greater p4p fighter, hes a featherweight, hatton is a junior welterweight. Do you not see the difference?

You can say that you think pernell would beat everyone floyd has fought big whoop. There is nobody on pernell's WIN resume that floyd would lose to. Im talking about actual resume, not additional wins that you like to give. O wait you had oscar beating floyd, so your ability to judge fights should actually be questioned since 98% of this forum agrees one way as to who won that fight.

Seriously, he makes such a big deal out of beating a featherweight that did nothing at lightweight. If Floyd would have fought the elite featherweights of his era like Hamed, MAB, Marquez and Morales. He would have handed all 4 thier asses fairly easily.

If Hatton and Azumah fight head to head, hatton kicks his ass cuz he's bigger. Therefore beating hatton is a bigger accomplishment cuz its harder to do. Seriously, the way he exaggerates Pernell's resume is so ****in hilarious.

It's not as if Brown was the only decent win that McGirt had at welterweight. He beat a variety of different types and looked good doing it for the most part: Baltazar, Jacobs, Manley, Williams, Ayers, Oliva, Leon, Bramble. A lot of them were smaller guys but there's no mugs in that lot. He's proved more at the weight than what Cotto has and I think with the lack of defense Mosley showed against Cotto he'd be getting tagged big time by McGirt's quick rights.

Hatton had already shown just how average he was at welterweight before he faced Mayweather so how can you count it as a better win than Whitaker's where he beat Nelson in a manner which showed that size had nothing to do with it?

What are you trying to say, that according to boxrec Whitaker is no better than Floyd? Yeah good point, and I agree. Now if you want to talk about reality, Whitaker beat Chavez and I think Chavez beats Floyd, based on the fact that Chavez's inferior copy beat Floyd. Whitaker held his own against a prime Oscar when past his prime and Floyd held his own against Oscar when Oscar was past his prime and FLoyd was in his prime. :good

If Floyd had fought Azumah Nelson at lightweight he might have found his own ass getting handled.

I think it's harder to beat Nelson at lightweight than it is to beat Hatton at welterweight. Hatton was on the verge of losing to an average guy like Collazo. No ****en way Nelson would be on the verge of losing to a lightweight Collazo.

No Floyd would be the favourite based on how easily meldrick and pernell boxed his ears off and how he went life and death with rocky lockridge. Chavez is so god damn overrated.

How is beating nelson at 135 so hard when hes 0-2 there and went on to struggle against fenech at 130. He aint **** at 135 and floyd would have put a paintjob on him.

This is an awesome discussion. Even though we have rough times on esb I guess this is why I still stick around here.

    92 Votes for above 40

    78 Votes for 41-100

    Roughly 55% to 45% after 170 votes.

Nice to see 20-39 winning also, as I think Floyd clearly belongs in that pack. Roughly 30-35 for me.

Although ESB polls mean next to ABSOLUTELY nothing. Still.
