    Come on. Gatti?

Unless I'm suddenly suffering from memory loss, I don't recall anybody ever considering Gatti an elite fighter. Castillo, Corrales, Judah, De La Hoya, and Hatton are MILES above Arturo Gatti. Hell, I think his wins over Angel Manfredy and Jesus Chavez rank above Gatti.

Hatton is A level at 140 and has the record to prove it. At 147 I would agree with you though.

In the context of all the other current 140 pounders (Malignaggi, Torres), Hatton is A level.

But when comparing his 140 pound version against the other elite fighters (such as Mayweather at 147, Calzaghe at 168, Mijares at 115, etc), he's not.

He's p4p below those guys, if that's what you mean. But he's boss of the division and probably has been since he stopped Kostya. He surveys his own small kingdom, you know?

I wouldn't consider Mijares elite yet. He has the talent, but I believe some accomplishments as well to jump into elite status.
