It does depend on how you wish to judge it, but if you are going on quality of opposition and when they fought (i.e. early career, prime, late career) there is a strong argument for putting Froch number 1.

What does it actually matter? Collins gets lumped together with Benn & Eubank just like Tom comes with Jerry. Just ignore the word British.

Collins fought McCallum, Johnson, Pyatt, Thornton, Watts, kalumbay- not just Benn and Eubank and of course he was Irish.

Ive got Calzaghe as clear number 1, after that it gets more difficult.

I would put Benn number 2, Froch 3, Eubank 4 and Collins 5.

    Its tough though.

As people say though if Froch beats Johnson and Ward he has to go clear number 2 and maybe even overtake Calzaghe!

I dont put Joe C over Benn no way. Joe beat Eubank when his heart had gone. Im not Bashing Joe I just dont see him beating Benn. Joes best win was Kessler followed by hopkins, I think Joe has the weekest record out of the 5 but the did own all the straps. Froch has the Benn any time any place any were mentality which you have to give him props for.

    What a great thread

    Imo
    Benn
    Froch
    Joe C
    Eubank
    Collins

I wonder were Michael Watson would have been on this list if his career had not been cut so short ?
