Why not? Hes big at 122. He has practically signed for the Figueroa at 126 before the Inoue match came up
He better stay away from Brandon Figueroa got lucky first time Brandon at 126 is bigger much stronger.
He is to feather fisted for the higher weights. His size was what separated him at the lower weight. So not sure if moving up would be the best choice and can he move down would be the bigger question.
Hes the same guy he was at 122. He hasnt magically changed with a few more pounds. If they fight again, it will be close again
Personally I still think he's (2nd) best at 122. One defeat doesn't mean the world has ended. Also, I like his statement about him losing. That means he still has dog in him. Some fighters actually grow from defeats
What's worse is no matter how many fights he wins even in great fashion he will constantly be reminded of his one way beating at the hands of Inoue & not just by fans as we know fans can be cruel, but even by the rest of boxing community.
Ah, here's his comment, frank, hurt but looking ahead, good for him! He still owes giving Inoue's skills he dissed full credit as well as an apology for his team's behavior on false PED & wrap accusations that weaponized many fans & influences. Smack talk before a fight is good so long you man up and admit post-fight it was for show and loudly state we take everything back, he's a just an ATG talent. I'm not hearing any of this. Disappointed in myself because I am better than that, I’ve worked hard for over 12 years to get where I am today and it wasn’t easy. Many restless nights, sacrifices and losses on this journey. I am better than that and it wasn’t my night, I am amongst the elite and I didn’t show that last night which is why I’m hurt through it all. It isn’t the negative comments that get to me it’s more so me knowing I am better than this but I will be back. Hopefully team Inoue would give me a rematch in the near future or when he has accomplished what he is set out to do. On another note, this is the most I’ve been promoted or post by my city and it is only after a defeat! I started boxing at age 12 won the golden gloves went overseas and turned pro and won 21 consecutive fights became IBO world champion in 2019 then WBO and WBC champion in 2021 being the only champion the city has had for a long time. Not many noticed But it is only now after a defeat I am promoted by the city (my people) after a Loss. #cantbestopped is a lifestyle no lose can determine that but how you deal with them walk through life and get back determines #Cantbestopped I’ll be back by end of the year don’t count me out and I’ll definitely get my get back! Chin up head high! ALHAMDULILLAH FOR EVERYTHING!
