    Miles bigger than that.

That's a fight that's grown with hindsight, but at the time it was a last minute switcherooni

Floyd v Manny was a nothing fight. Hagler Hearns was more important. If you are talking PPV buys then hard to quantify given these numbers have increased in recent times.

Usyk v Fury will answer a lot of questions raised since Fury ducked the Wlad rematch:

Is Fury as good as prime Wlad?
    Is Deontay Wilder's resume good?
Why has Fury v AJ never happened?
Where does Fury sit all time?
Who is this era's best heavyweight?
    How good is Usyk?
    Etc

    It’s obviously historically significant because it’s a match up between two undefeated champions for the undisputed and lineal heavyweight championship;

But if we’re talking in terms of hype, this is barely a drop in the ocean tbh. 2 months out from fight night, even Fury-Wilder 1 felt bigger than this.

Nobody in the US cares about Fury so I don't see how it can be the biggest fight ever. Fury will find a way to back out anyway

    Not high anymore.

It could have revived boxing. Now it might kill it.

Everything that makes it significant is the status of it being for "Undisputed".

It should be one of the biggest fights of all time and technically could be considered the biggest.

Two undefeated HW champions, Fury having won all the belts and Usyk having won all the cruiser belts before, now unifying at HW.

Of course we know who writes and controls boxing mythology and why it won't be classed with the gimmick fights of don king and other hyped promotions.

At heavyweight probably the biggest since the 90's but mainly thanks to Usyk and Fury's size.

Tyson did a lot to drop the stock.

Probably in the top 90's. If I really attempted to, I could probably name like 90 bigger/more significant fights...........

If is considered with the greatest fights says more about the last 20 years of heavyweight boxing than anything else.
Two inactive ,honestly past their prime heavyweights? For me It is primarily of historical significance as we may get a unified heavyweight champion for at least a week or two. Would have been a much better fight 3 years ago.

Top 3 biggest fights ever ?

Muhammad Ali vs Joe Frazier ?

George Foreman vs Muhammad Ali ?

Lennox Lewis vs Evander Holyfield ?

Sugar Ray Leonard vs Thomad Hearns ?

Sugar Ray Leonard vs Marvin Hagler ?

Marvin Hagler vs Thomas Hearns ?

Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jr ?

Felix Trinidad vs vs ODLH ?

Fury just got dropped and out fought by an MMA fighter making his pro debut, and Usyk was on the canvas for over 2 minutes on a "borderline" body shot from a domestic level fighter.

The fight has lost alot of hype for me.

Where does it rank in the biggest fights of all time......history will NOT have it as a top tier fight like an Ali v Frazier or an Ali v Foreman....there has been many many more fights that are more historic!!!
Boxing did exist prior to 2000 and there were huge fights back in the 80's.....hagler v hearns and SRL v Duran are 2 excellent examples

Lol. No way. The Lewis-Holyfield bouts trump it at the very least. I know you are a devoted Fury fan but exactly due to Fury’s messing around this fight is nowhere near what it could and should have been 18-24 months ago.

    AJ is the money man.
