Has he done enough to crack the top-10? Undefeated at 27-0, unified LWW champ who's effectively cleaned out his division, beat much-feared Mathysse against all odds, KO'd heavily favored Khan, beat an old Morales who nonetheless was still good enough to come within an inch of beating a guy like Maidana, and he beat maybe the best version of Zab Judah i've seen, without any gimme fights in between. Good enough for me, what does ESB say?
THAT is without a doubt, and i think Broner is a damn talented fighter. He hasn't done anywhere near as much as Garcia yet though. But then, nobody really has him in their top-10 outside of RingTV's Chuck Giampa, i don't think.
I'd have him 7th or 8th. In my eyes he leapfrogs guys like Donaire, Rigo and Broner. He's had a very impressive 2 year run at Junior WW and has wiped out the division pretty decisively.
I really, really like Rigo. He's the most technically sound fighter outside of Mayweather, but let's be real. Outside of his big time win over Nonito, he hasn't done much to be credited of such a high ranking in the P4P list. P4P lists are a combination of beating top-tier fighters, but also winning over a long period of time. how many pro fights does Rigo have under his belt, 14? It's not fair that he gets THIS much accolade with some pundits even having them in their top 6 P4P. He hasn't done enough to warrant that high of a claim, although I will say he's a fantastic boxer to watch especially if you appreciate the sweet science. I can't have him over Wladimir, Martinez, Pacman, JMM, FLoyd, or Ward. I guess he can fight Danny for the 7th or 8th position, but once again, he hasn't fought long enough to hold such a high place in the P4P rankings.
