Where does David Haye rank among the all time great crusierweights? Obviously behind Evander but he was one of only a select few to become undisputed champ at the weight and in a great era for the division. I'm interested to hear your opinions.

He would be suprisingly high in this young division

    Evander Holyfield

    Carlos De Leon
    Juan Carlos Gomez
    James Toney
    David Haye
    Vassiliy Jirov
    Jean Marc Mormeck
    Johnny Nelson
    O'Neil Bell

Honestly, it gets tricky. 3-10 are more or less interchangeable

Right now Haye is still staying in a Motel 6 called
    "Good right now!"

ATG penthouse is still about 10 years away & 3 or 4 championship's to go.

Not saying he's an all time great, but due to the division being new he ranks high in the all time rankings for Crusierweight.

Of course he does. Tell me 10 cruiserweights that rank higher. The pickings are extremely slim.

Its a fair question, he will no longer fight at cruiser, yet KOed the unified champ and then unified with another titlist in brutal KO fashion. The division has little in the way of notable fighters all time as it's young and many good fighters didnt stay long in it.

Haye is definitely in the divisions top 10 as it stands now. Though, if weight wasn't an issue, he could have cleaned the rest of this current division out easily and really made his mark as #2 behind Evander.

No, it's too soon to analyse his Cruiserweight career, despite the fact that he'll never fight there again, especially after he becomes suited to HW and draining would be MUCH more difficult after.

    :patsch

His cruiser days are done guys, if you feel he ranks somewhere top 10 for what he did at Cruiser, then rank it accordingly.

Feel free to name the 400 cruiserweights that rank ahead of him?

Since Haye is no longer going to fight at cruiserweight the question is more than legitimate and his standing would have to be pretty high.
He beat a solid list of contenders (mainly European) and scored convincing stoppages in both unification bouts over Mormeck and Maccarinelli, 2 good fighters. The Carl Thompson loss may hurt him but it's not as though Thompson was some journeyman.
