I think FightNews.com has it best so far:

    1. Wladimir Klitschko
    2. Vitali Klitschko
    3. David Haye
    4. Tomasz Adamek
    5. Robert Helenius
    6. Alexander Povetkin
    7. Odlanier Solis
    8. Alexander Dimitrenko
    9. Chris Arreola
    10. Denis Boytsov

The WBC doesn't even have him in their top 15 and the WBA has him at #11 behind such undeserving fighters as Ustinov, Rahman, Dimitrenko, Mormeck, Meehan & Valuev :patsch

BoxRec.com has Helenius ranked at number 6 right behind Povetkin................

Yeah, I think that's reasonable actually. It's a good victory.

I think if he's in the top 10, it should be at the bottom. This was a good win for him, the best of his career, but it was a very lackluster performance up until the ko.

The showed a good chin and excellent power at the end which, in this Heavyweight division, could take him quite far. I thought he looked too lazy though, his jab was awful at times and I think the spectacular ko kind of papered over the cracks.

I wouldn't rank him above Povetkin, Solis and probably not Arreola either. If Chambers is going to continue fighting at Heavy, I'd certainly rank him above him too.

How the **** did he get in the top 10 in the first place?

Helenius is @#6 in my book.

I would have to agree. He got the KO and was impressive doing it. Still have to say...It was only Peter. Peter is losing it, coming in at his heaviest weight. Still, can't take anything away from Helenius, he won and got the KO. Respect for that. Helenius should be ahead of Odlanier Solis obviously! Ahead of Tomasz Adamek & Alexander Povetkin, not sure about that, I would have him 6th behind Povetkin. Change spots 5 & 6 and I would agree 100%.

    Just my thoughts.

    Peace

I would normally agree with this accept Helenius doesn't have that devastating KO LOSS that Arreola, Thompson, Chambers & Solis have. I tend to give extra points for a fighter not having any losses on their record, especially when they've fought such experienced fighters such as Peter & Brewster...............even if both were possibly damaged goods.

Who did Solis beat to get such consideration. How many former world champs and contenders did he beat again?

I got Robbe WAAAAAY ahead of Solis, and if Solis can get healthy, and Robbe can get through Dimitrenko and Chambers, then he and Solis should have an eliminator for the WBC to fight Vitali next summer.

    Wlad/Vitali
    Haye/Adamek/Solis
    Povetkin/Chambers
    Helenius/Dimitrenko

I think 5 or 6 is fair at this point. Tony Thompson and Eddie Chambers are still rated fairly high even though they were both KO'd by Wlad.

Correct. I would think 6th spot would be correct. :good

If you are losing after 9 rounds to a 260lbs Sam Peter you are not very good at boxing.

I think you have Solis ranked to high, especially given the fact that he lost to Vitali by first round KO and he never really fought anyone special to get that shot in the first place. You can't rank fighters based on how good they box, it's how good they fight in the actual fight that matters.

Povetkin hasn't really fought lately and Chambers already got KO'd against Wlad.

I think it's safe to justify Helenius above Solis, Chambers & probably Povetkin too.

I'm willing to bet that as soon as Helenius fights a Klitschko, he'll have a devastating ko loss on his record too.

An undefeated record is only as impressive as the guys you've beaten to get it. Don't get me wrong, this was a good victory for Helenius but, up until the ko, I was really underwhelmed by his performance.

Whatever his record, I haven't seen anything to suggest he's better than the likes of Arreola, Chambers or Solis. I'd like him to prove me wrong though and a guy with his kind of power can always make waves in the Heavyweight division.
