After his win over Kelly Pavlik? Top 7? And does Kelly Pavlik slide out or would he still be in 10th?

#4. Astonishgly high when you consider he's lost -what is it, 3 of his last 7?

Exactly. Even though all of those three defeats are quite disputable.

I have him number 5 P4P. Behind, of course, Pacquiao, Marquez, Vasquez, Calzaghe.
When you look at his record it is simply outstanding.

I really cannot believe the man is 43 years old...

He should land within your top 5 P4P.

Using The Rings p4p ratings, currently they stand

    Paquiao
    JM Marquez
    Calzaghe
    Hopkins
    Vasquez
    Margarito
    Pavlik
    Mijares
    R Marquez
    Cotto

Pavlik should be dropped from the ratings completely. This is supposed to be the 10 best fighters out of thousands across the world, there's no room for a guy who loses that comprehensively. I think Cotto should get bumped too, they Have Paul Williams above him in the WW ratings anyway, which defies logic.

I think we'll have to wait to see how Calzaghe does with Jones before knowing if Hopkins rises any higher. I know Calzaghe/Hopkins was close, but fact remains Calzaghe got his arm raised, I don't think Hopkins can be bumped over him just yet. If Calzaghe wins un-impressively or loses to Jones, Hopkins should leapfrog him. I can't put him over JMM or Paquiao as things stand now.

I would take Pavlik off the top 10 completely. Solely because he was so thoroughly dominated. He can definitely move back up on it, but he wasn't beaten JUST because of the weight, he was schooled and nobody who gets schooled that bad deserves a P4P top 10 spot.

I have JMM above Pac actually so my list looks like this:
    JMM
    Pac
    Calzaghe
    Hopkins
    Williams

I got him at #4 behind Pac, Joe and JMM.

You can't really put him above Calzaghe one fight after losing to Calzaghe thats just madness.

Why not? He lost a close SD to Calzaghe so I assume after that he would be at 4, below Calzaghe by the tinniest of margins. Shouldn't such a brilliant win push him above Calzaghe who hasn't fought since?

Well, The Ring had him at #4 even before the fight. Hard to see him going up any higher.
