who are the guys at 135? valero, soto, katsidis...

JMM would be great again if he could come down to 135 and dominate over these solid opponents. If he can't then he should really test himself against Maidana at 140 then proceed to challenge Khan or Bradley.

Given the spare tire that JMM was carrying when he went up to fight Floyd, I'm not sure he'd have all that much trouble making 135. In fact, I'm guessing he could make 130 if he really tried.

It's interesting that we haven't heard anything from his camp since Floyd, though, except to rule out a fight a Khan. Valero at 135 might be good, but might be more of a risk than either are looking for at this point in their careers -- and I'm not sure what Valero's medical status is in the US these days.

marquez built a career for having two extremely close and riveting fights with a one-dimensional/ raw pacquiao and an upgraded but severely weight-drained version of pacman. his mystique and legend was built largely on that. it shouldn't be taken away by having his fans witness how a welterweight pacquiao would KO him violently such that his head bounces off the canvass ala Duran-hearns. :verysad:verysad marquez should go back to 135 or to 140 where he has a chance to be great again.

PEDs wouldn't do that to you. If PEDs were so effective to the point of being magical like what Divac thinks, Vargas would have went on to beat DLH and jumped to middleweight to destroy Hopkins then possible calzaghe at supermiddle. Or maybe Shane wouldn't have had to settle for a close decision over DLH, he could have dominated him then proceeded to destroy Hopkins and winky lol.

    :D I know.

But we should give hope to Divac so that JMM can battle DLH, Hatton, Cotto & Clottey in succession and lets see how tough his bf is:D

so far marquez had been lucky, he has the perfect technique and had the perfect timing to fight pacquiao when pac wasn't at his best. thus, he was able to give him a close fight and not get KO'd like the rest.Pacquiao was a beast at 130 although he wasn't as skilled yet as he is today. But for his last two or three fights at 130, pac was having trouble making weight, hence his comment saying his power wasn't there when he fought barrera for the second time. You all know what he went through to make weight for marquez
