Im generalising of course but my point is pretty true, there are decent people in England as well who like him or dislike him for different reasons.
After the prescott loss and the maidana fight I saw so many comments on other sites where people totally ripped him and mentioning his heritage in their rants which leads me to believe he would be more loved if he was pure white English like Ricky for example.
Everyone loved hamed cause he was crazy and had charisma, khan lacks that.
I admit he was an arrogant ***** when he started out but after getting brutally ko'd by prescott he actually developed into a better boxer and tried to fight the best and was very ambitious, I respected him greatly for that, his wins over malignaggi , kotelnik and maidana were great with the later being a foty candidate.
The fight with peterson was great as well, I had it a draw but I could live with peterson winning cause he deserved it for fighting his heart out.
Khan whining as a baby afterwards was very dissapointing and logically lost plenty of fans but its no excuse for so many to hate him that much.
Comments like "Its good that ****ing P.aki lost" "let him **** off back to P.akistan" came by often and were disgracefull imo.

BTW, I became a big Lamont Peterson fan as a result of this fight. Peterson showed that he had the ability to fight in a completely different style than his preffered style - a rare skill amongst pro boxers. As a result, Lamont Peterson was able to defeat a stronger and faster Amir Khan.

The second part was before the prescott loss though right?
From what I remember after maidana he chased bradley for 140 unification and spoke out on wanting to fight floyd.

Go to 147 and fight Devon, Mike Jones or Kell Brook.

    Back to the drawing board.

Khan has a lot of talent, and if he loses to Peterson, it's not the end of the world.

A move up to 147 is likely, and if he improves on certain aspects of his game, he's right up there with one of the best in his division (147, if he goes there).

I would nearly bet everything I own that Khan would continue fighting and win more world titles in his career.

And trust me, I ain't no Khan fan.

It won't be ideal, but it won't be the end of the world if he loses again. His bouts are always entertaining, so he will always be there or there about. He will never be considered P4P material, at least not for a long time if he loses again though.
