He put in a great effort against the guy that most consider #1. It was one of those losses which enhances a boxers standing. I've always thought of him being under rated and I've never seen him in the top 10 but after matching it with the best guy around he must at least fit some where in the top 10.
To make a good account of yourself against the top FPF fighter in the sport your stock doesn’t drop one bit. And considering he put up that effort against Loma, who’s an absolute phenom, I think Linares goes up a notch on the list. So probably Jorge goes to #5 or #6
Top 30-40 fighters. I personally would have picked Mickey to stop him and maybe Easter to beat him. I think Linares would have beaten Beltran though
Do you understand the guy has been stopped 3 times, wasn’t getting outboxed by Kevin Mitchell and has only fought English euro level guys for the last 3 years. He blantantly ducked zlaticanin, and although I give credit for a spirit performance I could think 20 names in the sport all above Linares p4p.
He was probably about #25 before the fight, I'd say he stays the same or (possibly) creeps up a few places as it was one of his better performances.
