Where does Marciano rank all-time amongst the hws?

    He ranks highly on my H2H list, but not in my era/era list, obviously. No other HW in their prime gets KTFO by second raters in the early going, that's just too much of a nasty stain and he wasn't performing to Holyfield's level at times and I also take his competition into question, such as the second McCall fight and how McCall shouldn't even have been in the ring, then of course we have a gauge of common opponents between Tyson-Lewis-Holyfield and I rate that accordingly.

    Not to mention, I am just biased against guys with suspect chins, I am sorry and it's not going to change.

    I think this is a very fair assessment. A little surprised how many rank him outside the top 10. Maybe it's because he ducked Nino Valdez :yep
    I feel Ali and Louis are in a class by themselves. Then, you have a group of Marciano, Holmes, Foreman, Lewis who are pretty interchangeable based on personal biases. Don't know enough about Dempsey/Johnson to make a valid rank.

    Undefeated in one of the heavyweights weakest eras. Plus it could be argued he was given a gift decision in one of his fights. If he had one loss on he record he wouldn't break anybody's top ten.
