He got his ass handed to him in the 12th, but it was a competetive and entertaining fight. I'd love to see him fight Felix Sturm at middles.
154 seems to be a good weight for him. He is still strong and dangerous. There's always the Vernon Forrest rematch.
This is true. The Forrest on his own would have a hard time drawing flies to a pile of dog****. But Mayorga-Forrest 3, would be fun and entertaining on regular HBO.
He should retire. He's gonna have to work his way up again to get another big fight in all likelihood, he's 35, and he just got knocked out pretty badly. The only reason the fight was semi-close was because Shane wasn't pulling the trigger well throughout until the 12th, which I attribute to ring rust.
He is entertaining and draws heat like no one else. I say he fights either Vernon, so Vernon doesnt have to tie pork chops around his neck anymore to get dogs to play with him, or Felix Sturm.

Ha ha, I was thinking of you during the fight cuz you were one of the only ones who called Mayorga victory besides myself and a few others. Either way, if you love Mayorga fights you will be to the next one no matter what. I'm sure he will get a big fight from his last performance. Maybe there's still time for Mayorga to get one more big fight before he retires .He was a ten to one underdog and still proved he had balls of steel.
Forrest = foregone conclusion. Both need it and want it. Both have one good scrap left. Easily marketed, timing works out (both will be ready to return to the ring at the same time), and time is running out.
