They are both a bit ****, getting ranked of each others backs, just like the Corrales and Castillo fiassco.

That's one of the most solid lists I've seen in a while Boyd, the only thing that springs to my attention as awkward is the fact that Dawson, a premium fighter is not in the top 15, he's at the very least a top 15 even with his limited resume and above Winky and Taylor.

I'll also comment on Calderon being at 20, interested on why he's so slow.

:good Yeh I see what youre saying about Dawson, but I have only ever seen him in the one fight (against Adamek), the rest I know about him is hear'say on here, so I cant justify putting him in the top 15 yet. Sure enough though next fight i'll watch it, if he impresses he will touch the top 15, maybe 11 or 12. Calderon i'm not too sure on, to be honest my boxing knowledge only goes down to the super flyweight division, the 2 divisions below & i'm sketchy on it. I need to see more from him:good

Ah, that's fair enough, I'm glad you rank on a mix of resume and your own assessment of the abilities of the said fighters. I personally feel that Guzman is more skilled than Calderon and he's also fighting in a loaded division and just beat a guy that was better than anyone Calderon beat in his own limited talent pool, including Cazares, which was impressive due to size.

Add to the fact that Guzman has intangibles that Calderon doesn't, such as an iron jaw, it's easy to rank Guzman as the better fighter.

:good Yup, all too often on these boards you get people who give their pound for pound lists and you can tell they have never seen 80% of the fighters on their lists or have only youtubed them. Boxrec bandits.

Guzman is a special fighter:yep . I'm glad the Scotty fight never went through with Joan or Warren would have been squirming. It would have looked bad for Scottish fighters as well.:good

ps. im on a torrent site right now, nothing better to do, what Calderon fights would you recommend. I have the Daniel Reyes fight on my harddrive, thats it.

Try the two most recent, one is Cazares, forget the other guy. Both were really close and show Calderon's current status and why I think he's out of the top 10 for now, even though he used to be better.

First 6-7 rounds vs. Cazares was a beautiful display, but then he got caught and dropped and scraped by in terms of the victory.

So apparently you missed a thing or two prior to their first fight. They had accomplished a thing or two by then - if not in terms of big names (and they had decent ones at least) then in terms of performance. It's okay, I forgive you. Everybody slips a little now and then.

    Correct. :thumbsup

    Izzy's resume/performances haven't been shoddy either.
