unfortunately sometimes beating the man doesn't make you the man, his subpar performances against Peterson, and just about everybody except Campbell and Berto, insure that he just doesn't rate highly on the p4p without some serious additional stuff (ie - one Tarver like win over a p4p superstar should not put you on their level if the whole of your accomplishments don't add up to their lifelong achievements, which is why they are on the list). If he gets a lucky shot I would probably put him top 15 p4p, but if he shows skill and outboxes Floyd, winning the majority of rounds, have to rank him right up there. Madaina is pretty bad at the elite level, all things considered, and that was not an entirely flukish loss Ortiz sufferred at his hands, it was indicative of real garbage areas in his overall arsenal - and if they had a rematch and Maidaina won again, I would still not put Madaina anywhere near a p4p list.

as I remember Tarver was on everybody p4p top 5, some even had him 2 or 1 after the picture perfect KO over Jones. still, when you beat a top dog like mayweather or pacquiao you gonne be very high on a p4p list.
