Where does Ortiz rank in Mayweathers level of oppostion ?

    Who has Mayweather fought and beat as a Professional - who is better than Ortiz ?

    Has there ever been a bigger danger to Mayweathers undefeated record than Ortiz - who is 10 years younger - can bang - is the Champion and is hungry and ambtious and World Class - and on a high and on top of his game after beating Andre Berto ?

    I'm not arguing with anyone either way.

    Just wondering is it worth a punt on Ortiz - or will Mayweather just see him off like all the rest ?

    He's a legitimate opponent.

    Ortiz, Khan, Bradley, Maidana etc are dangerous opponents. Surely age and inactivity will catch up with him one day.

    However, until he fights Manny, Floyd's opposition will always be heavily criticized.

    Floyd will win, but considering the odds on Ortiz it might be worth a punt just in case.

    Young, hungry, in his weight class. That alone makes him a good opponent by floyds recent standards.

    But world class? Not sure. Maybe. Not elite by any stretch. Stopped by maidana and floored heavily by berto. So not on floyds level at all.

    Hopefully he can bring intensity and make it interesting for the first half of the fight but Floyd will negate him soon enough.

    Dlh was definately better and would give Ortiz a hiding.

    Can't say he's up there.

    His biggest win is against the much overrated Berto.

    World class fighters do not lose to Maidana and draw with Peterson.

    I believe khan is considered world class and maidana could have won that fight. People put maidana down too much, he's a tough opponent capable of beating good opponants.
