    in the ATG lists?
did his first real loss come against Tito?

he definitely got robbed against De La Hoya IMO, when he had the man punching thin air most of the time with his flurries. Never saw the Ramirez fight. Chavez was another one it seems most feel he won.

great video if you haven't seen it before. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjTHLPmfBCQ

Top 15 ATG. #1 head to head LW for me as well(top 5 overall). I'd pick him over Duran at LW, quite comfortably as well based on styles.

Some info about DLH fight and others...

Whitaker was loosing on all official cards in Hurtado fight at the time of the stoppage. As far as I remeber, Lederman had him ahead most of the fight and almost even at the time of the stoppage. So Lederman DOES judges favourably to Whitaker.

Lederman head even score for DLH-Tito and head DLH loosing by 1 point to Quartey. It can be reasonably assumed that Lederman does not particularly favours DLH.

But coming into 12th round of DLH fight, Pea was loosing by 1 point on Lederman's card. The funal score wasn't shown. If he won the 12th, he would score a draw on an unofficial Lederman card. If he scored draw at best for his favourite, may be Whitaker

    lost?

It seemed to me that Whitaker showed great defence, but... I'm not going to say that he rarely tried to connect with force - it's obvious. Even worse, most of his punches where hitting air at DLH's face, he lacked an inch each time he hit, just not to be hit. Such punches could easily be count as 'connected' by Compubox.

Of cource I cannot know for sure, those at ringside knew that better. But judges (including unofficial Lederman) sit even closer, than Compubox specialists. If even the ridiculousely loyal Lederman saw a draw at best, what should I think?

I think you should make an assessment based on what YOU think.

If I tell you that the majority of ringside scribes felt Whitaker won (they did actually), would that make you think that Whitaker actually won?

    Use your own judgement :good

Your entire basis for the score of a fight relies on Lederman's card, rather than what actually happened?

I had him beating Ramirez (first fight) and Chavez 116-112, and had the DLH fight even at 113-113, but I haven't got around to watching the fight with Rivera which some say Pea got lucky.

Cut it out with this robbery crap it makes your post suspect right off the bat:bart ..........................DLH/Whitaker was close:deal

And if you're going to insist that it was a robbery than you need to take a look at Whitaker/Rivera1, by your standards that fight can be considered a "robbery" against RIvera, and Whitaker/Rivera2 could have gone either way( Sweetpea was fortunate to get the W in those two fights)

Either way, Pernell is definitely one of the ATGs!
