They didn't watch him then. There was nothing boring about the man unless you're only a fan of brawlers and lesser fighters like Gatti and Ward. What is boring about a genius who stands in front of you and makes you miss while scoring repeatedly? He wasn't a runner, that is one of the biggest myths regarding any particular fighter's style. If anyone thinks he was boring, it would be because of the ease with which he dispatched his opponents.

Pea was one of the most boring ATG boxers ever.

I aint blindly hatin on the dude, he was some freakin awsome defense. . . but his lack of power and offense is undeniable.

So how did he KO Nazario(the same Nazario who KO'd Rosario) and Lomeli with one punch? The Lomeli KO had some follow up to it after the initial punch, but still, a total lack of power won't do that, nor will it allow you to throw 100 punches per round, and be reknowned for having one of the greatest jabs of all time. Out-throwing and out-landing De La Hoya also leads me to believe he had some form of offense, even when past his prime.

WTF?atsch ..Pea used to throw over 1000 punches in his prime and its not his fault he didnt have "power". So every fighter that doesnt have power is boring?

 

Stop arguing with Ram he's an irrational ass. Who thinks that boxers like Pea and PBF are cowards and runners despite beating all of his heros quite easily.

 

He did have flashes against second tier guys, like Hurtado.

But against the big punchers like Chavez, Nelson and DLH. . .he ran.

To give credit where its due, he didnt run so much from Tito. . .even though he lost I give him props for standing in more.

no, Juan Diaz doesnt have alot of power but he's hardly boring.

I know Pea was an ATG. . .but some of you guys have bad memories. He couldnt draw flies to shiit, not cause he was exciting, cause he was boring more often than not.
