Where does Povetkin rank h2h all time as far as heavyweights 40 and above are concerned?

Foreman, Holmes, both Klitschkos, himself... Definitely up there with the best of them.

Probably the 21-25 range, 15-20 if being really generous.

That's pretty harsh. As far as heavyweights who are 40+ are concerned he looks pretty damn good and is up towards the top. Not exactly a huge pool of fighters.

Whoops. I thought that was where does he rank in the overall Top 40 HW's. I should actually try reading the full thread title next time.

Well in that case. Not sure. He's not 40 quite yet. But probably 8-12 when he does in a few days.

Beating up Hughie just shy of being 40 in the latter's home country is a good start?

It depends what he does in his 40's .

Those guys went into their 40's , resume wise he could surpass some , but what quality are his wins ?

Klitschko ran into Joshua in his 40's and so did Povetkin though.

On paper you can put him there if he gets a key win, I don't think he'll be around much longer . Maybe 3 more fights barring he loses .

    Vitali fought Charr .

Holmes went all the way to past 50 vs Butterbean.

Foreman played it safe in his 40's lost key fights has a win over Moorer.

Ortiz is 49 , should he defeat Wilder he gets the top spot .

fighters should be retiring in their 40s, hundreds would have been better than Pov had they been desperate enough to stick around and get gifted top fights like him, but they'd have packed it in by then normally. He should too.

He's well up there it was pretty crazy seeing the 40 year old man get the second wind over the 24 year old.

Well his career only really started in his last few fights. He’s been a serial ped abuser all his career. So I’d put him nearer the bottom with one win over huggy fury.

Duhapas was brave taking a fight with a roided Povetkin on a weeks notice. Povetkin should be ashamed

I would put both K bros, Holmes, and Ortiz (sue me) above him.

I think he’s better than 90s Foreman h2h, but Foreman was matched in a very particular way.

If Liston ever fought past age 40, he was better than Povetkin.

Moore was much better pfp but wasn’t really a heavyweight by today’s standards.

I'd have him top 10 without too much thought. He's slowed down but still very good for his age.
