No it's absolute fact. "Street fighters" are feather fisted punks and when there is a rare knockout it is over another featherfisted punk who doesn't train in a martial art in any way shape or form so they aren't accustomed to taking a punch.

I'll take an average amateur boxer over any "street fighter" any day of the week.

What are you arguing against? I never said Howard Davis didn't try to learn to throw punches with maximum leverage. Where do you get this stuff?

It doesn't really matter if it seems plausible to you. That's just the way it is. The amount of time it would take to have "corrected" his power problem would have been years. In that time his other skills would have atrophied significantly. To compete at the top level a fighter has to constantly work to increase his skills set and even maintain it. To say someone like Howard Davis Jr couldn't knock someone out if he just landed flush on there chin with a punch they couldn't see coming is simply illogical. Every top level fighter can hit whether or not you want to believe it. Sure there might be exceptions but they are just that, exceptions.

 

For what it's worth, none of the many people who saw your hand-selected punching clips on these forums indicated that they found anything extraor...oh wait, you never posted anything despite you saying you would.

 

Yeah, for what it' worth, koolkevin has never boxed or sparred in his entire life. I can usually get him to shoo away for a couple minutes by bringing this up.

 

I'm not the one on here posting unimpressive footage and then bragging about how I hit like a mule and using this to pretend that I've mastered some secret art of super-hard punching.

I'm assuming youre referring to the clip I posted in response to Contro. The one where I hit the bag that weighed 3x as much as his, while weighing 100lb less than him, and him admitting I hit harder? Yeah I deleted it, because you (of all people of course) kept creepily referring to the little kid filming.

 

At the last gym where I worked out, I paid $100 a month to work out whenever I wanted and to have weekly hour-long sessions with a pro trainer. The sessions were great and I learned a ton. Spent a lot of time going over the mechanics of punching, footwork, working on my defensive reflexes, etc. I'm not sure why you are so fixated on any of this, or why you think the fact that you toiled away in a gym for a year in your mid-20s without much personal attention and without ever even learning how to work a heavybag properly is a source of pride for you. You're on here talking all this nonsense about hitting harder than everyone else in your gym, and being a future Golden Gloves champ, but your footage shows us otherwise.
