Yoked biceps. Skip the bag and the ring. Do your preacher curls and you'll be hitting like two Marcianos.
Genetic's help but even the most gifted punchers needed some help. Training techniques , training methods and the ability to relax when throwing punches also help. Thomas Hearns had 155 Amateur wins for 12 ko and Michael Moorer lost 16 of his 64 Am fights. Emanuel Steward polished and developed these 2 into ko machines. Coincidentally Steward also trained Gerald McCellan. So you could say Steward trained 3 of the hardest p for p punchers ever.
I could agree with Hearns and McClellan being 2 of the hardest p4p punchers but Moorer was nowhere near that level. Everything else was spot on though.
Bottom line. Just remembered this dumb argument while I was discussing Hasim Rahman, a street-fighter/drug gang enforcer who I'm sure hit like a truck before he ever set foot in a boxing gym in his 20s. The idea that other fighters, even heavyweights, would consider him feather-fisted is comical.
Most pro boxers are going to hit hard to some degree. Rahman would certainly hit hard to an average guy or even above. In real life i can guarantee you this ,if Joe louis was standing there and someone had to pick between the two on who they want to get hit by its not going to be 240 pound Rahman thats for sure. Ppl get away with this bc they just reference history and can claim anything they want without proving it and stated Joe was a true Murderous puncher just based on boxing history and articles. To compare power is easy just match Louis's guys with Rahman and Rahman guys with louis, who would get the more knockouts?
Being a "street fighter" and a drug gang enforcer doesn't mean you hit hard. Not like Rahman was some underground bareknuckle brawler. He got into a lot of fights coming up in the hood. That's nothing new in fact is it overly common. I've known dozens of people like that. 10/10 Rahman was using a gun to collect for drug dealers. The idea that you think a guy who never laced up the gloves in his life hits as hard as trained heavyweight fighters is comical.
The average person doesn't know **** about boxing and would think that Joe Louis wouldn't last 30 seconds with Hasim Rahman by the looks of them so that argument is irrelevant.
You seem to place way too much weight on your own limited and worthless anecdotes and personal observations. Stay clueless, my friend.
You seem to place too much weight on your own ignorant preconceived ideas. I talk from experience, you talk from watching jean claude van damme movies.
