You don't know **** about boxing! He fought Frazier who was a cop and that guy was his mandatory and Roy wanted to keep his belt! Roy fought more former champions, current champions and guys who became champion only after he beat them! Look at the facts son!

Why does H2H matter much in ATG list?

Putting RJJ in top 10 because you can't find someone that can beat him during his prime is silly. One's career is not made of your prime only, not to mention when your prime's resume consist of a large amount of crushing cans....

I hate what he did in last many years to ruin his own career, but for his achievement I rank him higher than manny & DLH

His achievement through out the 90's combined with his entertaining style, he's definetely an all time great. He was unbeaten for many many years, stay on top way longer than someone like Tyson, DLH , Trinidad etc.

He's technically an olympic gold medalist as an amateur. He beat Hopkins in his first world title challange, he beat Toney when Toney was ranked #1 contender, he beat so many other top contender of his era before finally went up to HW and beat John Ruiz with dominating performance. He will soon declined physically after he went down to LH again but still managed to win the title in his first fight against Tarver.

Ok, it was a roller coaster ride after that but by the time he got KO by Tarver he was 35 years old!. In all fairness, it's just stupid to ignored Jones pro career achievement which he started from 20 years old and we're going to focusing more on his career after 35 years old?!

some people might ask why he didnt fight Tarver during his prime? in year 2000 Tarver was beaten badly by Eric Harding and Jones beat Harding by TKO so it wasn't Jones fault.

I rank him on top 10, top 5 if he didnt stupid enough to keep going since losing to Glen Johnson

I only put him in my top 30 but he's definitely the P4P champ of the 90's, no comparison.

He fought the best available competition willing to fight him, and he crushed ATG competition with great, great ease. He took out Hops and Toney like they were NOTHING. Won a HW title. Probably the greatest MW and SMW ever, and some would argue for all time best LHW as well. The fighters he 'avoided'... had he fought them, they would now be regarded just like the competition he faced, as bums and tomato cans. Because of how little effort it took for him to handle them. He made great fighters look helpless.

An OLD Eric Lucas just gave Andrade all he wanted until he got cut, the same Andrade that got outright robbed against Bute. RJJ faced him in his absolute prime, AFTER playing semi-pro hoops all day, and gave him a horrible beating. Lucas' corner had to stop it. Bute and Andrade would get humiliated and totally outclassed by a prime RJJ Jr., and then we'd hear how both of THEM were worthless tomato cans too.

I know plenty about boxing...been watching it since '86 (I was born in '80) Jones was my favorite fighter for quite some time, but looking back at his career, it's clear he didn't accomplish enough to be considered...I mean, some of these placements are just ridiculous. Top 15? Top 10? I mean, come ON!

Roy is in the 30's... the guy was magnificent... anything above late 20's is really pushing it.
