    You are a certified Idiot.
Jones had boxing skill second to none.. who the F cares if his chin wasnt the best... was Chuvalo a better P4P boxer than Jones?

RJJ had a lot going for him but lost his steam once he attempted to go heavyweight and back down.

ok if he's only top 25 p4p, then name me 10 or even 5 fighters better in a p4p sense.

Re taking a late career slide into account when ranking ATG status, that's bull****. There are MANY great fighters who lost a shitload of fights toward the end of their careers. You don't count that, unless you want to put Ali below Leon Spinks. Ray Robinson lost 4 of his last 10 fights. Change your question to 'who had the greatest CAREER' or 'who had the best record' and you can factor in those fights. When you're talking about best ATG fighters, you take them at their best.

I don't even bother answering these stupid arguments anymore. Like it was RJJ's responsibility to travel to the UK so he can fight all these ****ers in their backyard. Had he been willing to do that, they would have come up with some other reason not to fight him.

The reason Calzaghe and the other Europeans didn't want to come to America and fight RJJ is because they knew he would hang an easy loss on their records and they would immediately be relegated to 'ordinary' status. None of those guys are even on a prime Toney's level.

Because nobody was capable of looking great against him in his prime. The great fighters he fought were made to look ordinary.

I dont' even know where to begin there's so much wrong with this post.
First, James Toney was undefeated, but not at all "the man" at 168. Nunn was the only top dog he beat, and he was getting schooled and was behind before he landed the big shot. Everyone knew he could be outboxed.
SEcondly, there were all those British killers that could rip heads off sitting there, that's who he bolted from to go to 175.
Third. I do blame Jones for not fighting DM, just as I blame DM for not fighting Jones. I said from the start that its a demerit for both of them for not fighting each other.
Fourth. Don't ever confuse me for a Froch defender. I think he's one of the biggest phonies in the game today.

So yes. I stand by everything I've said. Including the ATG comment. He will always be dogged by his failure to fight the best when it comes to this debate. You can shout and posture all you want about his place among the legends, but that will never be a unanimous opinion among boxing fans and experts. He'll never be a Louis, Robinson, Ali etc. He simply won't.

RJJ is one of the best boxing talents in the history of the sport a H2H terror in his prime that would be favored over anyone in boxing history from 160-168.:deal RJJ is a top 25 ATG at the absolute least.

RJJ made easy work of campion fighters. I can't remember a guy who won w/ such ease, making belt holding champions look like club figher. Not did he just win, but he looked great doing it.
