i said on another thread pac is in or near top 10 and got laughed at because his resume doesnt stand up to those that are in it.if thats the case jones definately isnt. other than that tho jones has took the shine off his achievements a little.he was seen as invincible before he dropped back down now there is the thought that hes always been chinny
Top 30 i'd say. What he achieved is very good but there's a lot of bull**** around him making it seem even better. Carrying on does nothing negative for his legacy, just his health. We all know what he achieved up until that first tarver victory, nothing will ever change that. Beating hopkins then toney is amazing considering their own atg status. His run at lhw was very good but he never beat the best lhw around and that was dm, infact all his belts had been stripped off dm before he won them. It's obvious that jones was the premiere lhw from 97-03 but the one thing that damages his legacy is not facing dm. Beating ruiz was a great achievement for a man his size, and ruiz would have good victories either side of this fight, but let's not pretend ruiz was the hw champ or anything. What jones did was great, I still think sweet pea was better in the 90's but jones will go down in history and stand the test of time.
