Some punches dont land period and they still get knocked out. Probably because of the wind. Or maybe because they have another plans.
if you study how a glove looks like and where your knuckles will be positioned when it hits the target, that punch connected to the ear more than it did to the jaw, causing you to lose balance all the more. And from how his head bounced off the canvass...lights out!
That shot is so on the ear its obvious ... if anybody says its on the jaw please look at the Wlad vs Brock clip now THAT is a blatent flush shot on the jaw.
A knockout is caused by brain impact trauma inside the skull. Nothing has to "move". It's all a matter of getting the brain to hit the skull wall hard enough. The reason why the jaw is the target is that it's the location most likely to cause the head to snap back and forth, causing more brain trauma.
It can landin a number of places , any hard punch that hits you in either the jaw, temple or around the ear area can render you senseless if you dont anticipate it coming.... Bruce Seldon, Roy Jones, Thomas Hearns can all testify to that.. If you ever watch the Lionel Butler v Tony Tubbs fight , the KO shot hit Tony actually in the Nose.. he was out cold...
He was stunned by the shot on the ear which ****ed up his equilibrium, then the follow up knocked him off his feet, he was wobbled by the first and it was enough to put him down, but then he whacks his head which is what causes him to be out for so long. Not the ear shot.
he paul that avatar is SOOOOOOOOOOO wrong man! is that you? your physique is horrible man get a waxing man!
The shot that continually kept catching Roy was an overhand right just under the ear on the jawbone.. It was a more accumilative effect that had his whole body shut down eventually, The knockout was scored eventually by a shot to the jaw just behind the earlobe.. Very ruthless on Glencoffes part.. Great shot..
