Fought Bernard Hopkins in fights that the media and the oddsmakers made them the favourite in and B-Hop steamrolled over both of them. They got totally exposed. Trinidad went on to lose a bunch of fights and then retired. Pavlik lost his title and then retired at the age of 30. He's also had problems with alcohol and substance abuse, and I believe he's spent time in jail. So yeah, losing to Bernard Hopkins pretty much ruined his life
Hmmmm. I think pavliks ring life and personal life are 2 different things. Pavlik had built a pretty good comeback and was set to fight Andre Ward. If youre never the same after Hopkins takes your 0, you dont bounce back to a high profile fight with Andre Ward.
Trinidad went and fought Roy Jones Jr. He still got beat. Andre Ward probably would have beat Pavlik. Point is that everything started going wrong for them when Hopkins took their 0 and exposed them. Exactly the same deal with Wilder. I would not be in the least bit surprised if he has a few comeback fights and then loses to Joshua, Usyk, whoever.
This in my opinion would make sense for AJ as I don't see him winning the rematch and if Fury beats Usyk then AJ would have a shot at undisputed aslong as he negotiates a step aside with guaranteed shot at the winner. Wilder should fight Ruiz Jr in May or June.
he goes home to **** his dirty wife who ****ed big baby then he stays home for along time then comes back to fight b level fighters
Put Wilder in with one of the lower HW names like Parker. Let him retire Wilder and propel himself back up the ranks. FFS Whyte would kill Wilder at this point.
He’s taken 2 beating in a row now. If he doesn’t retire he’ll probably take a tune up before jumping back in the deep end.
He'll probably try angling for a fourth fight, claiming he should have won this one by KO in the fourth (long count etc), or accusations of cheating, illegal punches (hit and hold uppercut, punch to "back of head") and whatever other ludicrous nonsense his warped brain can come up with. Other than that, God knows. I think he'll retire, or take a massive layoff then come back against some supposed no-hoper like Andrei Fedosov who'll probably upset him or cause him issues. It's a pity because if he can get back on the treadmill he has some awesome options in front of him. Ruiz, Parker, Whyte (if the mandatory falls through and Whyte obliges), Joshua after Usyk's through with him, even someone like the newly revitalised Helenius would make an intriguing fight. But I suspect he fights none of these and just sits and sulks and tries to angle this loss to his advantage again, after which time two or three years will have passed and everyone will have moved on.
I'm amazed he didnt improve his defence after the second fight. He always let himself gets hit on the side of his side (above ear), on regular basis. You'd think he'd fix that, but he literally let Fury did the same exact thing.
