Isn't that essentially exactly what happened?

You idiots keep harping about Wlad being an "ATG" heavyweight. Well, if that's the case - why then did Brewster NOT get an immediate rematch?

Why was the Sanders loss not avenged?

I think the more likely scenerio is Wlad didn't have any intention of getting back in the ring with Sanders after the royal ass whipping that Corrie laid on him.

I certainly don't recall any point at which Wlad was calling out Sanders and demanding a rematch. Do you?

    I didn't think so...

    Don't ignore peoples' replies.

Wlad tried to get a rematch with Brewster in 2005 but Don King stood in the way.

And it's already been explained to you that Sanders didn't want a rematch with Wlad, he decided to drop the WBO title and fight Vitali.

Wlad did not duck Brewster and Sanders.

Sounds like a **** poor excuse. Face the reality, Wlad wanted NOTHING to do with Brewster after the drubbing that was put on him. Wlad has been fighting with a deer-n-headlights look ever since that fight.

So why couldn't the Sanders rematch have happened after the Vitali fight?

Did Sanders campaign for a rematch? where is this written or talked about? Was he a mandatory for Wlad at any point? Please share. I'm interested in what you have to offer.

Nay_Sayer owned again, he lives for punishment.

Sanders took the year off to consider options than signed to face Vitali, claiming he wanted Wlad after he beat Vitali...here he awknowleges himself Wlad wants a rematch.

Sanders said if he beats Klitschko he would give a rematch to his brother.
"I believe he wants me again and I think it would be great for the whole world to see again because everybody thought it was a lucky punch," he said.

    You're kidding, right?

All I hear is this talk about Wlad being an "ATG" HW. Well, if that's the case, why in the hell would Sanders need to campaign for a rematch when Wlad failed to go two rounds with him? Doesn't that sound a little ass backwards?

Seems to me, if Wlad is such the great fighter, he would be the one demanding a rematch with the guy who sparked him in two rounds. He would want to *prove* his merit by avenging an embarrising KO loss.

Kind of like how Lennox vehemently campaigned for the Rahman rematch. Do you remember that? Lennox even went so far as to drag Rahman into court to insure that he would get an immediate rematch. Lennox then goes on to anesthetize Rahman in under four rounds.

Wlad, OTOH, tucked his tail between his legs, ran and hid behind his brother. Big bro get revenge and Wlad gets his diaper changed...

Even if Wlad had fought Sanders after the Vitali fight, it would have been acceptable considering that Sanders put up a good fight in his losing effort. However, as is the pattern with Wlad, if you beat him - you don't get an immediate rematch. Wlad has to go fire his trainer, hide behind his brother, lick his wounds and get a fresh diaper.

And you guys want to call this fraud an All Time Great Heavyweight?

He's closer to an All Time Great JOKE...

    This is just sad.

Wlad will be remembered as an All Time Great, he's already found his way into most top 20 lists and there's really nothing you can do about it..except ***** and whine on here like a butt hurt afrocentric loser with a fake picture in his avatar. Oh....

Maybe one day you will remove your head from your ass and LEARN HOW TO READ.

The question was, Why did Sanders not get a rematch with Wlad at some point after the Vitali fght?

    That simply isn't true.

Wlad tried to get the rematch in late 2004 and 2005, but Don King had Brewster fight softer opponents like Krasniqi and Golota.

    Because Sanders didn't want it.

And if Wlad would have fought and beat him at that time, haters like you would just say "he got Sanders coming off a loss" anyway.

This doesn't answer the question.. All it shows is your "assumption" that there should have been a rematch, but doesn't answer why there wasn't. Wlad was top dog in the heavyweight division.. Did Sanders come forth and say " I beat this bum once, I'll do it again, and take his title?" I don't see evidence of a challenge anywhere, and don't even remember fans saying anything about it.. So I ask again, was there any demand for a rematch a challenge or a mandatory situation or anything like that?

he already answered it by posting Sander's quotes which were: " IF I beat Vitali, I'll fight Wlad again." He didn't beat Vitali and aftwards, basically faded into anonymity...
