The ONLY rankings that you could consider Wlad to be top 5 are the Glass Jawed Heavyweight Champions Rankings.

I have Wlad there at third place close followed by Lennox Lewis who hold the record of all the Hw champs ever to getting KTFO 2 times with one single Punch.

After Vitali? Wlad called him out and offered him an IBF title shot. Sanders didn't respond.

According to the latest boxing news, IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko is considering a possible rematch with South African heavyweight Corrie Sanders

I think you have missed the bigger picture.

    Great fighters avenge losses.

Ray Leonard avenged his loss to Duran. Ali Avenged his loss to Frazier. Ray Robinson avenged his loss to Turpin. Larry Holmes didn't avenge his loss to Spinks - but at the very least, in the vein of great fighters, he immediately got right back in the ring with Spinks. The same is true of Shane Mosley who, on two occasions, gave immediate rematches to Vernon Forest and Winky Wright.

These guys were TRUE Champions who avenged losses.

Wlad, OTOH, tucks his tail between his legs, fires his trainer, hides behind his brother, licks his wounds and gets his diaper changed.

Wlad does not avenge losses like a TRUE Champion.

At the end of the day, Wlad never avenged that loss.

They were probably concerned that Wlad [and his reputation] would never recover from being KO'ed by a 41 year old semi retired pro golfer...

Circumstances were different though with those other fights, where you had two big headliners who the public demanded rematches with, and no politics intervening. Can you really compare Wlad vs Sanders to Ali vs Frazier?

Why didn't Lewis and McCall have an immediate rematch? Lewis stole his trainer and waited for years until drugz destroyed McCallz brain. :nut

Floyd Patterson is number one and second is close between ingerman Johanson and the one whose name I dont dare to say yet. maybe later when the dust has settled..

Anyways i dont feel these Ranking to be all that importand because Many guys with shaky whiskers had archieved so much and became Boxing legends... If anything these guys with Fragile chins must be mentally tough to over come their weaknesses.

Apparently the only gross overrating in this thread is Nay_Sayer comparing Wlad's WBO reign in Germany to undisputed Champion top draws.

Oh absolutely. So I guess you don't count Herbie Hide as a Champion then?

First and foremost, what does this have to do with Wlad?

Second, the McCall fights are a blemish on Lennox' record, AFAIC, for the reasons you cite above.

Third, Lennox fought an immediate rematch with Rahman, something that Wlad has never done in his three KO losses.

    Care to explain WHY?
