I selected the 16-20 option on the poll. He has for the most part, unified the titles with the exception of some minor technicalities.. He's basically beaten the best of an era over the past 7 years, asside from his brother, which I can give him a pass for not fighting.. If he wins out the rest of his career and perhaps ads the WBC title to his collection he may end up in the lower part of the top 10.... His early career losses will probably always prevent him from reaching the upper tier of the greats though.

I actually have him below Haye even though he beat Haye (controversially). Hayes wins over Ruiz and SNV are better than any win Wlad has. FACT.

Wlad only cracks the top ten if he beats Vitali...

    Bull****.

Wlad was a title holder when he got knocked senseless by Sanders and Brewster.

    Agreed,

Wlad was 28 when he lost to Sanders and 29 when he lost to Brewster.. When meeting both of those men, he had more than 40 professional fights, the experience of being a world champ, a big size advantage and the claim to being an olympic gold medalist... He also had Steward in his corner for the Brewster fight - an advantage that most people say he didn't have for his early defeats... I can't see any viable excuses..

Hard to overlook that stunning KO loss to part-time fighter Corrie Sanders. Wlad dominates his era otherwise, and unfortunately, short of a boxing sim, you can't match him against Willard, Carnera, Simon, Baer or Pottgeiter to see where he fits in the top 1,000 heavyweights of all time.

He was a titleholder yes, but not a champion. Wlad reached his best in 2006.

He's been at his peak from 2006 to the present. Haye would have had a much better chance against the 2003-2004 version of Wlad than the 2011 version.

And age has nothing to do with it.

Spme fighters reach their best by age 25, some do not until they are age 30. Some boxers are shot by age 30, many are shot by age 35, but Vitali is still very good at age 40.

why can you not read something without ****ing paragrapghs??anyway surely the 3 losses his managment have to take the blame for who let him be underprepared for sanders thats the one the annoys me the most..brewster and purrity where just being over eager..and its no card the sad fact is many esb posters and klit haters do not like them for the reason i said and its sad..i mean when saying stupid things like wladimir cant box hes a fraud blah blah it just shows there hate is beyond boxing..while i can agree both kits dont satisfy everyones taste to say they cant box is ****ing stupid..i do respect you for putting them wer you have i myself have wlad now in the top 20 and another undeafeated 3-5 years he could break into the top 10-5 depending on opponents and what those potential opponents do when wlad retires..if you get what i mean

If it werent for the K2, there would be 3 champions, 2 of em probably americans and 1 brit. Those 3 would already be considered top 20 ATGs simply for taking over where Lewis left off.

If he were to beat Vitali then *maybe* there would be an argument to put him in the top 10. MAYBE.

yea his management do take a serious hit for poor matching.

anyways i know what you mean. I myself have never claimed that Wladimir cant box or that he is pure garbage or anything. i do however feel he could at times go for the kill sooner and put his opponents away sooner in a more devastating fashion because at the moment is he simply so much bigger stronger and better than any of them. . but obviously he is protecting himself and sticking to a style that has turned his career around so i cant blame him for that. its just a personal preference as you said.

i also feel if he can stay undefeated for a few more years he has got to be considered for a top 15 position.
