I disagree with most of the comments written here. Imho yarde would be crushed even faster and harder by other champions like bivol. The only reason yarde stood up 11 rounds is called vodka.

Yarde is what he is, a fabricated bum with a fabricated record. There is not a single pound of talent in him.

The only question I have in mind is one I already posted in this forum days ago. Why they decide to feed kovalev with yarde when they have spent a freaking loooot of money to fabricate yarde. It completely bugs me, I just cant understand it.

The rest? no questions at all, a bum lost, nothing to be questioned, that's what bums do.

To be honest in the UK he likely wins that fight by TKO8 with very minimal controversy. Imagine the hype around him then. And Kov would likely be contemplating retirement.

Goes to show how things outside the fighters' control can impact careers more than what happens inside sometimes.

He'a still in the mix for big fights. Yarde vs Alvarez would be a fun showdown.

Remember when people were saying it was over for Callum Johnson after he lost to Beterbiev? Yeah , neither do I.

I became a fan of yarde tonight.

I've never watched much of him, only highlight reels of knocking bums out and I thought it would be a step too far.

And so it proved but I was impressed with him, to say he's only had a handful of amateur fight and only fought cans at pro level he's far better than I had imagined

He's got a solid chin, good heart.

The guys never been close to 12 before and that's what showed olin the end.

He's got some skills though, he's just so raw but he has ability.

And he can bang, the 8th was the only time he went for it and he nearly pulled it off, he can hit.

His style reminds me slightly of a raw version of David haye. The way he rolls the shoulder both offensively and defensively.

Kid can fight, he just needs proper guidance if he's to do anything.

You saw the glimmers of talent in this fight. Yarde was able to adjust on his own without input from his pathetic excuse of a trainer. He showed us courage and determination, peeling himself off the canvas with every ounce of strength and kept pushing until there was nothing left in the tank. That lowlife Tunde Ajaye pumped this kid's head full of hype, he brainwashed him, taught him bad habits, built up his confidence only to let it shatter and he did it all to make a quick buck. If Yarde can find himself a good trainer, one that cares about his fighters and has a deep knowledge of the game, he could grow into a good boxer and this could be a great learning experience. But, there's always the possibility that he'll never recover mentally, Kovalev taught him that he wasn't what Tunde made him out to be, so psychologically the damage may already be done.

Hate this type of thing, no offence to the OP, it’s just a general observation. Yarde has stepped up massively here, gone into Kovalev’s back yard and come very close to knocking him out. Yeah he got knocked out himself in the end but at least he’s challenged himself. That in my eyes puts him head and shoulders above the cherry pickers we have in boxing, Charlos, tank Davis, etc.

Yarde did a phenomenal job for someone with so little experience, and without sparring (which is even more nuts)

He is a diamond in the rough with tremendous physical abilities, he just needs a good trainer who would make him fight smarter, using his advantages.

Tunde sucks, whatever he is doing with Yarde is clearly not going to work on top level. Get with Roach, Nazim or anyone with experience. Yarde can win a title, hell he nearly did in the 8th round.

Yeah. We should get behind fighters that are willing to roll the dice. Not pick holes in them when it doesn’t work out.

It’s fighters “losing there zero” which stops most fights we want to see happening. F that, just have a tear up and see what happens. Don’t be puss***

Actually yeah, 8th round in London it may well of been stopped. Just watched it again. Yarde had him for a minute there.

Tbf nobody before or since gave Johnson a chance at being a world level fighter, he isn't even top tier at domestic level

Hopefully Yarde goes back and cleans up Burton, Johnson and Buatsi then steps up and is violently koed again

Let’s not pretend he’s the second coming

He can clearly fight, he should take a few journeymen type fights, get some confidence, then take on a top 10-20 guy.

Maybe he needs to completely change everything (a new trainer, team, etc.) but maybe it's better to give Tunde some more time.
The first thing they should work on is Yarde's stamina.
