Now that the fight between him and Pac is off, what has he to offer next to the boxing fans? Is he still have to face Matthew Hatton as his next opponent? Why can't he fight the best or legit welters next?
He could fight Paul Williams, I think he fought good on that weight against DLH. Or take the winner of the Mosley-Berto fight?
Lots of good challenge awaits him in his division like Clottey, Margo, or even Miguel Cotto who still is a solid and legit welter even after that loss to Pac.
Why can't Floyd stop being too cautious or picky on future opponents, is that all for the purpose of keeping his clean record untainted?
Is he really on a mission to also mark his name in boxing history as undefeated like Marciano? But can he really cast his name in boxing sport as one of the greatest if he has not faced real challenge as he suppose to?
IMO Floyd Mayweather Jr will only be remembered from hereon as one of the skilled fighter ever fought in the ring, nothing further.

Why cant Floyd fight the BEST? And that is what boxing wants from him.
Or if he has nothing to offer no more, IMO he needs no other way but to RETIRE again.
And this time we hope IT is for good.

retire and then stay retired so that fighters who really have intentions to fight face each other.

Floyd wasted everybody's time. We could have Mosley-Pac if Mayweather did not unretire.

Floyd should fight Quintana or Collazo next, for multiple reasons.

At the very least, his next fight needs to be against a top WW, If it's not then it's no good the fans moaning whilst buying his garbage fights.

It appears that Mayweather has just refused to fight the only man who can beat him - Manny Pacquaio.

I don't care what FMJ does next, or who he fights. As far as I'm concerned, he's fast becoming irrelevant.

I changed my post. I really think Collazo and Quintana are the best options for him right now. Two lefty boxers he can look great against and win pretty easily. Also 2 very legit WW contenders.

He should just fight the winner of Mosley/Berto in the summer. If he wants to keep things ticking over, Collazo and Quintana would be ok I guess, but he'd probably better off$$ with a circus fight against Hatton or some such.

I have a feeling Berto will out-point Mosley. And from what I can tell, Berto isn't exactly a big draw. Floyd hasn't got that many options, not for the kind of lucrative legacy fights which he needs. Khan might be a soft option though, perhaps he'll give up his belt and move to 147 for a big money showdown with Floyd.

Pacquaio on the other hand, has got plenty of options.
