Where has all this talk of Khan vs Mayweather come from

Of course it is Khans team are just trying to get some publicity for themselves.

Schaefer - Khan's promoter - mentioned it. He said if Khan continues winning, he plans to match him with Mayweather in 2012.

 

To be fair if he does clean up 140 then its not ridiculous that he gets a shot at Floyd.

He has to work on cleaning up first and let golden boy promote him and not get drawn in to the Mayweather talk himself.

 

If (and that's a big if) he successfully cleans up 140, then he should think about taking a tune up at 147 to test the water. Because even with two fights down the line, he still won't be ready to take on Mayweather - who won't have declined much.
