Pav's in a tough spot right now, but i believe he'll bounce back. I was telling people prior to the fight that they were pushing Pav way too fast putting him up against Bernard. Besides Taylor, he hadn't fought someone like Bernard who wasn't going to let him get in on the inside as well as not letting his jab get off. I just didn't think Bernard would have the performance he had against Pavlik, he made me a believer. But Pavlik will do fine at 160 and I still think he can beat Abraham. He'll be fighting for years to come, give the kid a lil break. He got thrown in with the Lion way too soon.
There is a lot of merit to your post. From July 2006 to October 2008 Kelly fought 8 times. You can sort of throw Pierre and Lockett out, but the rest were decent to very good fighters. That's a pretty heavy shedule. In addition, the haters can manifest as much denial as they want to, but the elbow injury, and the bronchitis played a roll in Pavlik's poor performance. Anyone who denies that is either an inherently dishonest person who lacks integrity, or else their knowledge of competetive sports is extremely shallow and limited. As a nurse with 28 years experience dealing with sickness and injury, I will state unequivocally, and without apology, that KP should not have been in the ring that night. Others advised him to post pone the fight. Going forward with it was his choice. That was his mistake, and he has to live with it. The only threat to Pavlik at 160 is Abraham. I have not changed my mind about that fight. AA is not that much of a threat. Arthur Abraham is no Bernard Hopkins, and that may be the under statement of the year on ESB. We will see the difference between a regional star and a world champion when that fight happens. Pavlik KO8 Abraham. Right now I can well imagine that Rubio's confidence must be soaring. That is probably a good thing for KP, because as soon as he tries to open up against Pavlik, he gets knocked out.
ohh i see since your boy miranda is not worth talking about anymore your jumping on abrahams nuts...lol lol
I am not jumping on Abraham's nuts. I am holding on to Miranda's to tightly! I have been to both fights live. Abraham is a beast. He has skills. He is very very hard to hit and I have never seen him hurt. He has one punch power that Pavlik does not possess. Pavlik is easy to hit. Abraham WILL connect. Lights out Pavlik. Hey, I hate the 'Germans' for what they did to Miranda is Germany. I got no love for that team and I hope for every Sauerland fighter to lose. But, I gotta be realistic about it and Abraham KFTO Pavlik. :deal
Pantera2000--You complain alot. Your boy got beat fair and square by pavlik and ruined all hopes of him becoming champ, give it a rest already.
Ohhh, here we go! The perfect example of the Youngstown Pavlik hype train fan. This guy comes on right around the same time as the upset Kelly pulls in Memphis and talks **** like he is some boxing guru. Goes on and on and on and on how Kelly is an all time great, blah blah blah. Your boy got used like an old garage tool. He was schooled like a little girl. Go back to your days before Eastside. Your boy was embarrassed. :deal
You didn't hear? It's been derailed for a period of time. PAV ended up loosing to BHop a little while back in a ons sided boxing clinic.
Quantity vs Quality.:hey We don't have the "small Mans" complex like you do Erin......"**** Fans" is right...and you all have them in the masses. Jokes!! Don't get your skirt all in a bunch.
The train has just stopped off at reality station is all for some maintenance, doesn't mean its stopped. Man got beat well outside of his real division by an atg who did what few believed was possible. A loss is not a derail
