The football argument is not that good, because in england now rugby has been professional for a decade the same thing could be said, ive seen huge guys who may have been good fighters, but would rather do a team sport and get a fiar wage without getting there heads knocked off

the savior? hardley...all the ppv dollars and majority of the classic venues are in the states and because he is a brit he will only get some pub...what we need is several men from around the world mainly at least 3 americans to step onto the seen like three wrecking balls just demolishing everything in there site by knocking out everyone with no regard for human life like the greats of old (Liston, Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Holyfield, Tyson...need I say more):!:

You need to learn some math. The 1960s were half a century ago.

Americans have faded in the heavyweight division in the last 10 years, ever since obesity has skyrocketed in the US and since Eastern Euro heavies have turned pro.

Give the Eastern Euros credit where credit is due and see the problem for what it is in America. Football and Basketball are easy compared to boxing. American kids take the wussy way out. Can't fight.

This is nonsense. Skill at football or basketball does NOT translate into boxing. Can they fight is the issue? Can they take a punch? Do they have endurance? Do they have the mental strenght to fight?

Lots of former football players and basketball players have tried fighting with terrible results. Just because Ray Lewis is athletic does not mean he would have been a great fighter.

obviously your not American cause than you would know better and not say such idiotic comments:twisted: the world knows that we have all the best athletes in every sport...do you know why cause of our arrogance we do not believe that anyone outside of the US could contend with us. If you have any quarrels with that then just watch the Olympics next month and we will prove it to you over and over again. Boxing is not the most popular sport in the states especially for a big man they can make millions doing other things and its not being pushed in the hood [neither is baseball (oh I am sorry your version of cricket)] look you "wussies" could never contest with our best HW just ask Bruno even Rahman dropped your best ever!:fire
hahahahaha even recently we sent your boy Hatton and his soccer buddies 'le ole ole ole' back kissin there own ass after Mayweather served him some humble pie! so put that in your pipe and smoke it!:****off
